Spacious, Cozy Home
My family and I stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday. We chose this home for its accommodations, cozy ambience, and proximity to a relative’s home in Waynesville. The check in process was straightforward and the host was great to communicate all details a few days in advance.
Before I get into positives, a few downsides of the property. One is the proximity to the busy highway. It’s loud when outside both day and night and could be dangerous if you have younger children as a lot of drivers speed up the road from the highway. This was something we understood prior to booking and had no issue with noise when inside the home. Another slight downside is the stairs to get into the home. Thankfully the host keeps the outside well lit, but if you are older or have issues with stairs, this would be a concern with how steep the climb is.
Now moving into positives: the proximity to the Lake is wonderful. The house, especially the kitchen, is very well stocked with various kitchen supplies. Plenty of towels and linens. Even though our Thanksgiving dinner was held at our relatives house in town, I could imagine us cooking a full Thanksgiving meal in this home. There is ample room for a large family’s stay, with space to entertain indoors and out. The bathrooms and rooms were clean. The mattresses were a bit harder, but still was a comfortable sleep. Foosball table and piano downstairs. Overall, we loved the place and recommend you book your stay today!
