Holiday Valley, Seneca Casino, National Comedy Museum, Amish Shops, and Alleghany State Park make for a nice drive. A quiet getaway when life gets in the way of relaxation.

If you plan on booking, please check your messages for further details. Before approval, we need to cover just a couple of things. At this point in time, we don't have internet at our rentals.

The space:
Welcome to The Cottage, a place to escape from the world - to find rest and relaxation in a peaceful setting. This is a tiny house with everything you may need for a relaxing getaway. The 14-acre property has a couple of walking paths through the woods if you enjoy morning or evening walks. There are open lawn areas as well as wood areas for exploration. You may see the neighborhood deer on the lower lawn in the evening or early morning. Even though we would prefer they stay out of the garden, there will be times you will see them there. The bunnies are very active on our property - you may see them in the garden as well as on the walking paths.

This Tiny House Cottage boasts all the amenities you could need and décor that will give you that country feel. It’s the perfect stay if you love modern amenities with country tranquility. There is 1 bedroom with a queen-size memory foam mattress and 1 bath.

If you are looking for something a bit more private, check out our Hillside Retreat. If you want something unique, check out our listing: The Chapel.

Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra steps to clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces between reservations. Please feel free to contact us if you need more information.

The Kitchen is fully stocked (cookware/bakeware for the stove/oven), service for 4 dinnerware, glasses/coffee mugs. There is a microwave and single use (pods) Coffee Maker for your use. If you plan on cooking during your stay, there is a refrigerator stocked with condiments for your use. There are cooking oil and general spices available for your use.

Next to the deck, you will find a grill available for your use. Enjoy your cup of coffee, a glass of wine, or a bottle of beer on the deck at the bistro table. Morning and evening meals enjoyed under the umbrella will add to your relaxation. There is a fire pit just across the lawn near the gardens for your use. Usually, there is wood available for the pit. Relax in the chairs and make s’mores or star gaze. Feel free to take advantage of the log swing near the firepit. We've added a hammock for your enjoyment.

The Cottage has a TV with an HDTV digital antenna to see the local stations plus some others (no cable or WiFi). You will find a selection of DVDs for your use if you just want to relax with a movie. We have more choices in movies if you don't see something that interests you. There is usually cell service for most carriers – this is a true get-a-way.

This unit has a washer and a dryer. This compact dryer isn't meant for heavy items. If you need something heavier dried, please contact us.

You can enjoy the walking paths on the property. We ask that you honor the posted signs of neighbors. There is a seasonal pond out back - just a short walk away. Because we are in a wooded area, you may need bug spray.

As you take a walk around the property, you will find a picnic area on the lower lawn as well as a swing near the lower firepit. If you are interested in Horseshoes, let us know - we will get the shoes out and show you the horseshoe pit.

There is a garden you can enjoy. You will find a variety of flowers as well as seasonal fruit. You are welcome to sample the fruit.

This is an area that has hunters during various game seasons; hunting on our property isn't allowed.

You will share the road with Amish horses and buggies, please be aware they are harder to see at night. If you are shopping at the local Amish stores, please note they are not open on Sundays. You will also need to use cash/checks only. They do not accept credit cards.

Please be sure to answer questions that we send shortly after your request. They are needed before approval can be sent. As we also use the units as a stay-cation, we are pet-free due to serious health issues. If you have a service animal, please let us know - thank you for understanding why we need to know.

For Checkout - we ask that you just pick up. We will take care of stripping the bed and gathering the towels and getting rid of the trash.
