I waited sometime before replying to this survey, to give myself time to collect my thoughts on our stay.
Beth the owner did reply to my requests but not in the way one would expect, for instance:
1. I let her know that under the trundle bed was filthy and I asked where I would locate a broom. Her reply was oh sorry I will have to talk to housekeeping and told me where I should find a broom. The refrig. was dirty along with the fronts of the dishwasher and stove, we didn't have children with us and yet the appliances where loaded with little handprints. The beds had to be made when we arrived, her reply was this way you know the linens are clean, but yet the top cover was on the bed and when we left she only asked for us to put the sheets in the washer and start it. SO did the top cover ever get cleaned? We expressed there was a STRONG sewer odor she said oh sorry we never had that concern, also the back bathroom was clogged and had to be plunged you couldn't open the bedroom window facing the back yard as the odor was terrible. The washer left my clothes with a half full tub of water and soap again she said oh sorry it never happened before. Yet never did she offer to send anyone over to the cottage for any of the issues, At the end she sent me a text saying how can we make things right, I believe this was in an effort to keep a good review,,,I myself have offered my florida home to snowbirds and would never react this way to my quests for any of their concerns.
