Why Dolores Diaz Quiroga chose Ixtapa
I used to come on vacations to this place for more than 20 years. This private oceanside complex is one of the most exclusive in the area.
What makes this Villa unique
I have no words to explain the beauty of this place: Outstanding private home accomodations, with a very reasonable rate. Next to the marina, the house club infront of the Ocean, with restaurant, bar, gym, and extra share pools near your condo, besides your private pool. Outstanding views from everywhere. You can really have a quality vacations. Just try once and you will always want to come back.

Nice view, but condo unit needs a lot of TLC
While the view is great, it didn't appear the owner has put much into upkeep of the unit for some time. Old peeling paint, stained curtains, broken lamps shades, lamps that don't work, no supplies like extra TP, trash bags, etc. And the ants; not just a few, but lines and lines throughout the house, everyday. The large red biting kind. The restaurant on site opens when it wants to. Overall, would not recommend.
We have just paint all the outside of the villa and the yard of the villa, we also change the doors of the closet in one of the bathrooms, bought more towels, we are now protecting wood of the terrace ceiling, we fumigated two days prior to your arrival!!!! waw.....you did not see that you were staying in one of the more luxury condominiums in the area? you did not see that you were paying 25 dlls for each of you for that price you only rent a bed in a share room in a hostal!!! but thanks I will check the stains in the curtain and the light bulb in one lamp!!!
This was my first VRBO rental and I must say that I doubt I will ever go back to an all inclusive resort. The villa was perfect in every way and the view was the most exceptional I have ever experienced. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a beautiful, quiet get-away! We were there for only 7 days but every days was HOT HOT with not a cloud in the sky. The public pool was also a nice place to enjoy if you want to meet a few other people as the complex was quiet when we were there and sometimes didn't see anyone around except the grounds keepers. We felt very safe here and you don't have to worry because this is a gated community and even if you're a single traveller this would feel safe. I would go back to this place in a minute. Thanks Delores for being so accommodating and easy to deal with!
Thanks You for your comments, I am always very lucky to have guests like you.
Rest, Relaxation & View
My husband and I recently spent 3 weeks in the villa. We loved it. The open living area provides a lovely connection with the outside. We sat and watched a day of rain, it was perfect. We became totally spoiled with the private pool. We only ate dinner out once. Eating on the terrace in the evening with such a lovely view of lights and stars was just too good to leave. We took the boat everyday across the marina and felt like it was one the best parts of our days. The restaurant there has some of the best food in Ixtapa and the prices are very reasonable. All staff we dealt with were friendly and welcoming. The kitchen is well equipped and there is every type of glassware, i.e., martini, wine, margarita, etc. We were able to call the administrative office to order drinking water and ice. I will admit there is quite a steep climb from the restaurant and boat which ends in steep stairs, however, this worked out for us because it made getting back on the treadmill easy. I would highly recommend this villa. Again the view is magnificent, and it is very peaceful and quiet. We will be back!
Thank you very much for your nice rewiew.
We are a little remiss in filing our review as we stayed during the month of December. In short, it was amazing!! We can't say enough about this property - we are a family of 5 and the space was more than sufficient. The view from the patio is breathtaking! We greeted nearly every sunrise during our stay and each was as stunning as the next. Like nearly every other review, the pictures don't do this place justice. The private pool was awesome. Our kids were in it multiple times each day. The restaurant staff was friendly, the food was reasonably priced and good quality. A nice surprise - we were able to order groceries through the main office and have them delivered directly to our room. It helps to know some Spanish, however, since the office staff is limited in their English. The boat-ride across the marina was very fast and the beach was only a 5 minute walk from the boat, so access to the beach was simple. The beach was equally impressive - beautiful sand & views. Restaurants on the marina were good, but seemed a bit overpriced. If you're taking a cab from the airport, beware of prices. You shouldn't pay anymore than $20 US Dollars to get to this location. We, unfortunately, paid more than 3 times as much upon our arrival. That was our only true setback on the trip. We highly recommend this spot if you're seeking pure relaxation!
You explain better than me the kind of vacations you may have. I love my villa and this place, and I am happy to share it with people like you who takes care of it as me.
This place was AMAZING! Like the other reviews stated, the pictures really do not do the view justice. This villa is everything you could ask for. My boyfriend and I stayed for 10 days and we couldn't get enough of Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo! We loved the area and the people. It helps A LOT to know Spanish (or somewhat) if you plan on traveling to this area, but you will still be able to manage if you don't know the language. We especially enjoyed taking the bus (which stops right in front of Porto Ixtapa gates) to Isla Ixtapa (Ixtapa Island) where we enjoyed the day at Paraiso Escondido, a local restaurant on the beach. Taking the bus to Zihua was just as easy and if you don't want to deal with the bus, here are a plethora of taxi drivers ready to take you where you want to go! I would recommend not on Dolores' place to any one of my friends, but this area in general. It is a true hidden paradise. Dolores made our stay pleasant and stress free, she was just an email or call away if I ever had any questions!
View of a lifetime
Spent three weeks in this villa with my family.Cannot express enough about the view that greets you in the morning and at night time is even better.I still miss it today. The villa itself is spacious and open to outdoors.I was happy to sleep outside for the three weeks to listen to all the insects and the waves. All you could possible need is in the villa. We were able to cook fabulous meals and also barbecue.Shopping was easy just take Sharky and go to town by taxi,or bus very inexpensive and interesting .Takes awhile to learn everything but everybody is very helpful ,Delores always accepted our phone calls and things were always taken care of in a speedy manner. If you did not feel like cooking you could just go down to the clubhouse and the food was very good and the service was superb.Or you could go to Ixtappa with so many choices in restaurants. Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing. If that is what you are looking this is the place to go. And to have your own pool as it is hot there you do need it. There is also so many other pools to use in the complex .The hill though is steep could do without that the only drawback especially if you are not fit.Kitchen could use some update but still functioning .Would definitely go back but maybe for even longer.
Thanks Terry, I hope to have you back soon.
Very near of the Club de Golf 'Marina' and of the light House of the Marina commercial area with restaurants and boutiques.
