About this property

This is a cozy apartment right on the water but also located in town close to restaurants and other services. It has 2 floors and magnificent water views. We have outdoor chairs and tables making the front yard a great place to relax and enjoy the abundant bird life. The tide comes and goes always changing the view. Inside we can sleep 4. The kitchen is very well equipped although there is no dishwasher. Six restaurants are within a 5 minute walk. We have 2 parking spaces. There is wonderful hiking all around. We also are right on the ATV trail which runs through Machias.

Our Maine adventure

The River Cottage was perfect for my sister and I. Great easy chair for reading or just admiring the view. A very cozy couch for napping. A kitchen that is well equipped...though we never cooked as there are 2 wonderful restaurants within walking distance. The beds and pillows were perfect. It's a nice location, as we went as far East as possible, and flew in and out of Portland. Would definitely stay again.
