(Breweries, restaurants, shopping, water sports) A spacious and tranquil room with a double bed, kitchenette, private bathroom, 5G wifi, and a prrivate entrance provides plenty of room for you to relax in a beautiful forest setting.

Great location for a quiet getaway

Clean, cozy and comfy wirh a great host

Great place, spotlessly clean, in a very quiet setting but close to everything if needed. Sarah was very easy to work with and we would love to stay again. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the area.

Great location!

Our stay was amazing! Our space was clean, beautifully and creatively decorated, equipped with all the “little things”. Very close to shopping, beaches, and downtown without being in the hustle and bustle of a tourist beach town. Would absolutely stay again. Sarah was an amazing communicator as well!

Sara’s place was absolutely beautiful! Very cozy stay for a getaway with a loved one. Sara had wonderful communication and was there to help when we needed it. Overall we had a great time!

My family and I live on the property but we respect your privacy and want to make sure your stay is enjoyable and relaxing. However, if you need anything please do not hesitate to reach out. We want your time here in this tranquil forest to be special and do our best to provide a 5-star experience.

We love it when our paths cross with our guests! It is nice to meet people from all over but just know we respect your privacy and won't bother you. We do have a friendly Golden Retriever, "Jemma " who may be out and about and will greet you with excitement but let us know if that is not cool with you and we'll keep in her during your stay. Our neighbors are awesome and we don't want to be disrespectful, so please no loud music or parties. There are rentals around town for that but this is really just a "chill out" spot. We appreciate your understanding!

Why they chose this property

This unique and charming property is located within 10 minutes to Wrightsville Beach, 15 minutes to Historic Downtown Wilmington, and close to the UNCW campus. There are many amenities close by including three Breweries, restaurants, shopping, watersports, and more. The house is not visible from the road as you have to drive down a private wooded drive to get to our quiet, beautiful woodsy location. It is a place meant for relaxation and to get away from it all! There is a book in the rental loaded with lots of local information.

We have taken extra health and hygiene measures to ensure your safety. We have committed to a rigorous cleaning protocol developed with leading health and hospitality experts. It is a priority to us as hosts!

What makes this property unique

The rental is located above the garage with a separate, private, keyless entrance. You will be given your own code to use during your stay. (Here in Coastal NC, it is called a FROG-Finished Room over Garage.) Please know that we do not use the garage door during stays so it remains quiet for you. There is a small kitchenette with two burners, a toaster, a sink, and a small refrigerator. There are utensils, cookware, stemware, can opener, wine opener, bottle opener, mugs, bowls, plates, etc., and if you require any utensils or gadgets that are not provided, you can easily text me and I can get those to you.

We do not have a television in the rental at this time as the wifi is very dependable and most people travel with laptops and stream their preferred networks. So far it has not been an issue but if it is something you think is important, please let me know as we want to provide a 5-star experience for our guests. There are lots of books, magazines, crossword puzzles, Backgammon, and cards to play with.

There is an outdoor area to the side of the rental that is for your use. There are two chairs facing the wooded area and a bistro set with an ashtray on the table. If you smoke please use that area and not inside the property.
