Very nice apartment Heading away from the main street.
very close to the center of Trier. Heading away from the main street, meaning nice and silent.
Lovely, perfectly located apartment with grand piano
We stayed 5 nights in this newly updated apartment. It was very clean, warm and extremely well equipped, including kitchen roll and washing-up liquid - the owners had thought of every detail. The WiFi and TV worked as expected. There was even a washing machine and dishwasher, although we didn't use them. The grand piano was a joy to play and the electric piano useful for playing late at night (headphones were provided).
The apartment was about 5 minutes walk from both the station and Porta Nigra.
Arrival and departure were smooth and friendly and accommodated our earlier than expected arrival and departure times. We loved exploring Trier with all its accessible Roman sites and many good restaurants.
We thoroughly recommend this apartment for anyone wanting to explore this very attractive town.
Dear guests,
thank you very much for your positive feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Trier and that you liked our piano suite so much. We hope that we can welcome you again here in our "Pianohaus".

Great stay in Trier
This is an ideal apartment for visiting the lovely city of Trier. The apartment is within easy walking distance of both the train station and the old city and all the sights you want to visit. The apartment is very nicely appointed. There is a nice terrace to sit on when the weather permits and 2 pianos. It is very well equipped with dishes and cooking utensils, comfortable linens, and has a washing machine which is a real plus. The check in time is later than at a lot of apartments we've stayed at, but the owners will let you store your luggage in the piano store which is below the apartment, so it not a problem. The owners are very helpful. They made some great recommendations for restaurants for celebrating my birthday the weekend we were there. I would highly recommend this apartment.
Underwhelming
I hate to sound like the Ugly American, but I cannot help but do so for this unit. I will say that the people involved seem genuinely nice but...
We were met at the Piano store downstairs by the owner's daughter. We were taken by elevator to the second floor, where we then had to carry our luggage down a flight of stairs to our rental. We were asked to sign the usual papers then told we needed to give her a significant amount of cash as a deposit. Despite running a company, they would not accept a deposit with a credit card. Needless to say, we were not told about this inconvenience in advance and this put a serious dent in our cash supply.
The weekend we stayed was quite hot and the apartment became hot and stuffy without even any floor fans to help circulate the air. It did finally cool down early in the morning but by then we were awake because the bedroom is light and bright until you roll down the metal jealousies shades and diminish the fresh air flow.
The internet works well but there is no microwave and the coffeemaker uses some sort of pod, but we did not know, and were not told, what type. There is also a clothes washer but also there are no instructions nor is there a clothes dryer.
Parking is shared with the store employees. The space is cramped and is an additional daily charge.
The site is in easy walking distance to the Porta Negra and the historic part of Trier.
Dear guests,
Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay in our apartment.
We are really sorry that you have not been satisfied with several circumstances and that you had some inconveniences during your residence in our house.
Unfortunately we cannot offer the service to use a credit card for the desposit (this is not as common in Germany as in the USA). But you should have been informed about the necessity to furnish a deposit on the website where you booked our apartment. We will inform our guests in the future that they have to pay the deposit in cash.
Regarding the temperature in Trier on the weekend of your stay, you were a bit unlucky because we do not often have such a head of about 35 degree. We hope you could sleep well despite the fact that we do not have an air conditioning system in the apartment.
Thank you for the suggestion to provide the instructions for the clothes washer. We will take care of it to help our guests using the washing machine. To dry the clothes there is a laundry rack in the apartment. But you are right that a clothes dryer would be more helpful.
However we hope that you spent a nice weekend in Trier and that you enjoyed your time in Germany.

Excellent location, features, and customer service
My wife family stayed in this apartment for five nights. We would definitely select this apartment again when visiting Trier. If you have a car, I recommend asking about the option to park in the lot behind the apartment. The apartment is very well maintained with relatively new appliances. It has many useful features (one exception: no clothes washer). The couch in the main living area folds out into a relatively comfortable sleeping space. Our children thought it was perfect. The apartment is a short walk from the Porta Nigra and it is centrally located for exploring Trier.
Schöner Aufenthalt in Trier
Sehr schöne Wohnung, zentral gelegen und ruhig. Es hat an nichts gefehlt.
Lieber Feriengast,
wir freuen uns, dass es Ihnen so gut gefallen hat und wenn wir Sie vielleicht eines Tages wieder einmal in Trier Willkommen heißen dürfen.
Viele Grüße vom Piano-Suite-Team
Map
Trier is the oldest city in Germany with more than 2000 years of history. Trier on the other hand, a young at heart city with a future that is geographically low in "the heart of Europe".
In terms of tourism is Trier a good travel destination for guests from around the world, a popular meeting and convention space, a unique and relaxing holiday. Trier is the starting point for trips to the Moselle and Saar, to the Eifel and the Hunsrück and to the neighboring countries Luxembourg, Belgium and France.
The monuments are stone witnesses from the Roman and Elector time. Both the Porta Nigra, the Imperial Baths, the amphitheater, the Barbara Baths, the neuausgegrabenen Viehmarkt Baths and the Roman bridge over the Moselle show us today the stately size of a once magnificent Roman city. The many guests who year after year visit the city, can be enchanted by the unique atmosphere which makes old and new sexy overlap each other.
Seen ulturell is Trier an open air museum of European architecture with buildings from Roman times, the Romanesque and Gothic period and the Renaissance, Baroque and Classicism.
For centuries, the city is the center of the Moselle. In addition to a university and a technical college, it houses the European Academy of Fine Arts and the Academy of European Law. Trier is rich in cultural institutions and schools.
Today Trier is with its approximately 105 000 inhabitants upper center of the former administrative district of Trier, bishop and university city with over 20 000 students.
