About this property

Our cottage is a beautiful all open space that will sleep 1-4. No separate rooms. You have amazing views of Smith Lake, & beautiful landscaping while sitting on covered porch drinking coffee or around the fire pit roasting marshmallows. The Cottage is the perfect place for a one night get away, or stay up to 5 nights. No pets, and no smoking allowed inside of cottage. Kayak rental $25 each a day

We wanted a romantic night away. It was stated no alcohol inside cabin…. Well ok. Planned for a glass of wine while enjoying the view. Upon arrival posted in cabin was no alcohol on premises. I respectfully obeyed request. If you are going to make prohibitions …PLEASE CLEARLY STATE IN LISTING. We would have stayed elsewhere

Beautiful view

Property manager lives on site and upon arrival at check in was in the property. She was very nice but I definitely did not like that she was in the property upon my arrival. It was awkward. She was trying to fix the broken freezer. Luckily we had ice and brought our own cooler. The grill was a Blackstone griddle that had standing water and rust in it. That was not what I was expecting especially since there is not a stove in the property. They did have a toaster oven and air fryer. The property had dishes and silverware and a Keurig with complementary cream and sugar and coffee/tea pods. There was a day bed with trundle in the middle of the room and a Murphy Queen bed that was surprisingly comfortable. Because the freezer was unusable the owner let us go to their personal hot tub if we wanted. I thought that was a very nice gesture. This place is for weddings so it has a very lovely view. There isn’t a nice place to eat so make sure to bring your own food. I recommend a cooler with ice. The kayaks are not the nicest but you can rent them for $25 for the entire stay. Overall this place is good for a little one to two day get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. My wife and I are not drinkers so the fact that alcohol is not allowed did not bother us but others might not like that. The fridge is a small one and not full size. There is not a place to do laundry on site. Towels and toiletries are provided. The cleanliness and the views are definitely the highlight.

Peaceful spot

Lovely spot to enjoy the lake views. From the pictures I had assumed that there was a bedroom, instead of a Murphy bed. Deck chairs are very comfortable to chill on.
