Our historic mountain top villa is called Sant Angelo. It is a 7 bedroom villa tastefully furnished.
Villa Sant Angelo is built over a 600 year old monastery. The property is in an exceptionally solitary location on an imposing ridge. With good visibility you can see St. Peter's Basilica, sometimes even Ostia. The ideal country residence is in a quiet area and yet central accessibility to Rome and Frascati.
This is the perfect place for a family reunion, relaxing holiday, corporate team events.
The villa is situated on a 7 hector land. It is surrounded by olive, wild pears, apples, figs, apricot, peach, cherry, walnut and almond trees, acacias, Judas, oaks, pines, cedars, cypress trees.
Villa Sant Angelo is built over and around a monastery and an expiatory church, built to lift the ban on church in the 17th century. The settlement goes back about 2500 years to the Etruscans, later inhabited by the Franciscans. The property also includes the very interesting, ivy-covered city ruins with up to 6 m high city wall and defense towers.
The walls of the villa, the earth, the chapel ruins few hundred meters away is packed with history that my husband and I are still unraveling. What we do know for sure is the air is pure, the surroundings are filled with beautiful melodies from nature (rustling of leaves, chirping of the birds,) and mesmerizing views of the city of Rome, San Gregorio, Frascati, Casape and village of Poli.
There is something truly magical that awakens in us when we are here and we would like to share this with our guests.
