Good location, bad upkeep
Mountain Lodge is from the 80’s and they haven’t updated the inside lobby area. I have stayed in Mt Lodge before and knew this going in, but was still disappointed in this unit. Each unit has its own interior. This unit was in need of some basic care and maintenance- the fans and vents and baseboards were dirty, lightbulbs are out, electricity and WiFi was not working right, the tub was dirty, parts of the porch were sitting around on the back deck. I had to call maintenance three times to clear a clog in the bathtub that was my fault. A floor lamp fell over and the lampshade broke because one of the legs fell off. So now I have to pay for a new lampshade. I told the owner that the bathtub was dirty and nobody came to clean it and there were no tools for me to clean it with. The beds are cheap and new (but good enough) and the linens are too. The couch and chair in the living room are probably from the 80s. I thought I might break that too. There were only two pots in the kitchen but plenty of silverware and glasses.
I would not stay here again. I did enjoy the location and the view of BallHooter and the waffle shack. It is also right next to the exit stairs with access to the lift so the location is really good, especially with ski boots on.
