About Sharon

We fell in love with Big Bear Lake years ago and were very excited when we came across this property - we could not live without it. While it is centrally located - minutes to everything, it is located on a quiet street away from the hussle of the world.

Our favorite time of the day is sitting on the deck watching the colors of the sunset play on the lake while listening to the ducks chatter about their day's activities. And as we sit there, we notice that our cares of the day have slipped away.

Sharon purchased this house in 2008

Why Sharon chose Big Bear Lake

We fell in love with this property because of the Lake, Mountain and Marina views - looking out over the lake and surrounding mountains, it truly embraces all that nature has bestowed on this land! Plus, it has easy access to the lake in the spring, summer and fall plus easy access to the cabin after heavy snowfalls - truely 4 Seasons of Fun!

What makes this house unique

It is centrally located so we can get to all the fun stuff within minutes - either walking or driving - either lake and mountain fun or snow fun - 4 Seasons of Fun! The big plus is being able to enjoy the sounds of the lake early in the morning and at sunset - listening to the ducks chatter about their day's plans while watching the sunrise over the mountains or their day's activities while watching the sunset over the lake is the best.

Great location...Very cozy!

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED this place! We have been doing annual cabin trips to Big Bear for the family for the past 10 or so years. This was by far my favorite. Great lake view location. The cabin is fully furnished. There were plenty of condiments stocked in the cabin to use. I don’t think I have seen a cabin as stocked as this one. Sharon must have thought of every item that one could forget to pack, available there to use. My favorite was the electric blankets. This was the first time I have used one and I am running to the store to buy one now!

PROS: fully stocked with a ton of condiments to use

Con: there was no extra toilet paper, not a big issue, just had to run to the market to pickup

I will be recommending to all my firends and family and will definitely have to stay here again.

Very Nice & Clean Cabin - Close to The Village

  • 5 of 5

We had a first class experience throughout the entirety of our stay. From the time I first connected with the cabin owner to ask a few questions, to booking the cabin with the management company, to checking in, to enjoying the cabin for three days--every aspect was professional and exceeded our expectations. I picked this cabin specifically because it looked nicer and cleaner than any of the other 2 or 3BD options available in Big Bear during my dates, and I'm glad I did. We have two small children under the age of 4 so cleanliness is of the utmost importance, and I can confidently say this rental exceeded our very high expectations. I book VRBO rentals for family trips about 4-5x per year and this cabin and our experience ranked among the best rentals we've stayed at over the years. Furthermore, the cabin was super kid friendly (i.e. toys, puzzles, child bathroom seats, etc.), which was a very nice and appreciated touch. While it was a great fit for our family, it would have been equally enjoyable for couples and larger parties of the adults. I unfortunately didn't get to use the hot tub, but I imagine that would have been a great amenity to have each evening if we were with adult friends.

I'll end by saying that the cabin's lakeside location and less than a half mile from town were perfect. We got about 5 inches of snow during our first night there, and instead of figuring out how to put chains on our car, we instead walked from the cabin to The Village. Our walk was less than 10 minutes (with two small children; probably a 5 minute walk w/ adults) and was a great way to enjoy the fresh snow. When we did use our car over the course of the weekend for coffee, meals, sledding, etc., we seldom drove more than 1 mile. Very convenient!

Thanks for the great stay! We'll definitely be back!

Very pleased

  • 4 of 5

Great property; has a very warm, welcoming feel. Isn't overly ornate where you worry about kids breaking something, etc. Excellent price and location. ONLY downside is that the cleaning fee is pretty high and so if you are just making a weekend of it, it almost doubles the cost. That being said, I will rent this place again if it's available the next time we go up to Big Bear.

Great location, lots of charm, well-furnished.

  • 5 of 5

Very impressed by the prompt response and easy booking. Nice cabin-y feel but with lots of comforts and a very well-furnished kitchen with high quality appliances, more than enough glasses, dishes, pots, etc. Great location too!

Great location

  • 4 of 5

Great location, nice home, very nice welcome basket! Home was very kid friendly. The only thing that would keep me from staying at this location again was the motion sensor light placed in the master bedroom corner facing the bed. Every time we moved in bed, it turned on, making it almost impossible to sleep. There was one in the living room too, but it was less annoying since we weren't trying to sleep. If these were removed, I'd definitely consider booking again. Another item on the wish list would be to refresh condiments - some were over 7 years beyond expiration. Overall, a good experience.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the feedback and please know we’re taken action on your comments. Although this is the first time there’s been a comment about the security motion detector light, we’ve disengaged the light to avoid sleep interference. I check our condiments monthly to ensure proper stock as well as acceptable expiration dating. I don’t know how out-of-date items could be in the cabinet as I remove them but nevertheless, all condiments are current. FYI, this is another first in 9 years of hosting guests. We strive to keep our cabin at 5-star rating presentation and your comments proved both welcome and helpful. We’re looking forward to hosting your next vacation at 4 Seasons Of Fun.

Great winter cabin experience

  • 5 of 5

Perfect for the holidays. Close to the Village which was all lit up and beautiful. Close to the lake and hiking trails. Close to the sledding hill and alpine slide.

The cabin was very well stocked with toiletries, linens, cooking items, blankets etc for a comfortable stay and for holiday cooking.

We enjoyed the hot tub, the games, and the movies. Would have loved to have a white Christmas but maybe next year
