Mixed Feelings

On the positive side, the house was clean, spacious, and well-located. However, so many things went wrong that could have been avoided with better communication from the property managers. As a result, the first night caused us all a lot of anxiety on what was supposed to be a celebratory weekend with family. Having written instructions as to how to use the air conditioner and garbage disposal would have been helpful. In addition, the dishwasher leaks, the trash compactor doesn't work, and there was no propane for the cheesy BBQ grill. We couldn't enjoy the deck, because the outside furniture was covered with bird poop and all of the outside areas should have been cleaned and swept. The placemats were dirty, the knives were dull, and there was no corkscrew (we had to go out to buy one, when we should have been enjoying our cocktails). The TV only gets a few channels and there was a ticking timer in one of the bathrooms that wouldn't turn off. Overall, the decor was bizarre and needed a bit of upkeep. We have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years and this was definitely one of our most disappointing experiences, especially given the high rental price of the home. I will say that, after many calls to the property managers, Demonte stopped by and resolved some of our issues, which we were grateful for. We only wish that we didn't have so much anxiety upon our arrival. It certainly put a damper on what should have been a fun weekend.

NOT A 7 BEDROOM HOUSE - TERRIBLE HOME

I have never left a bad VRBO review and use them all the time. THIS HOUSE WAS HORRIBLE! This is a 5-bedroom house NOT 7. They are counting two unlocked rooms with no closets or bathrooms that are over each garage as "bedrooms" that are completely detached from the house. We shared the house with another family, and we could not put us or the children in these rooms. This house is not luxurious. Many of the electrical outlets didn’t work. The kitchen sink was backed up for half our trip and no one would fix it. The kitchen (NOT GOURMET) was barely stocked with general everyday items and the stove was missing half of its dials to use the burners. It was dusty and kind of dirty. Outside was a filthy massive, rusted bird cage (with no bird). On the plus side, the cage was a great deterrent for misbehaving children as it was scary looking. Lastly, the house had about 8 bath towels (11 of us staying in the home) so sharing a small wet towel was fun! The owner of this house should either renovate it, list it accurately or just use it themselves.

Overall great however one bed needs to be replaced

Wonderful location. Place was clean and all appliances and showers worked including master. One reason the place does not get a 5/5 is the mattress on the first floor near the garage has had a bed bug infestation and also possible urine stains. When we used the bed there was a plastic liner over it that was very uncomfortable to sleep on. We removed it and underneath the plastic liner were yellow stains with somewhat pungent smell as well as reddish discolorations indicative of bed bugs. In an adjoining cupboard there were two spray bottles with the wording of “bed bug spray”. Otherwise great place.

Prime location but few amenities

This property is magnificent in its location. The kitchen is nicely up to date. Everything is in need of repair though. The oven didn’t work, the grill is unusable and the main bathroom fixtures are corroded. Also the house provides the bare minimum in amenities. The kitchen supplies are minimal and bath towels are scarce. The are any kitchen stools. The screen doors are also broken. The house has way too many figurines if you have kids. There are no instructions for the televisions and we were unable to access them all week.

The property was lovely and in a great area. There were a number of maintenance issues that need to be addressed - such as the barbecue was unusable with no propane tank, the sauna didn't work, issue with the oven and televisions that didn't work.
