The holiday house "La Garrigue" stands on a huge plot of over 17 000 m² and is therefore ideally suited to allow children free development - though open fire is strictly prohibited. Scattered in the landscape are some neighboring houses, walk out far enough to real silence. For the next house there are at least 80 meters and to the main road 500 meters. Built in the late 1970s, it is no longer young, yet is equipped with all modern fittings. There are 2 bedrooms available, one with separate sink. Both are equipped with double beds (separate mattresses). The living room has a pullout sofa, which is suitable as a bed for 2 more people. All necessary cooking and household utensils and spices and cleaning products are available.
From the village of Siran leads a narrow, serpentine road (D 56) to the "Curiosité de l'Auriole". After 5.5 km, shortly after the Curiosité, a dirt road turns left into the Garrigue, the typical vegetation of Languedoc. La Garrigue awaits you with an impressive view over the Minervois and the Corbières to the Pyrenees.
Siran, a tranquil wine village with 700 inhabitants, is located at the foot of the Montagne Noire. Apart from bakery, grocery store and post office you will find 3 restaurants. 5 km away is a large bathing lake, on which also can be surfed. As far as it is to supermarkets. Nearby, a golf course is being built. The area is known as the land of the Cathars with the magnificent monuments Quéribus, Peyrepertuse and many more. The Pyrenees and Spain are not far, Barcelona is 3 hours drive away. Trips to Minerve (namesake of the Minervois, 10 km) as well as to the World Heritage Sites Canal du Midi (15 km) and the Cité of Carcassonne (35 km) are almost indispensable.
