About this property

The Bailey Bungalow

Relax within walking distance of SDSU campus and downtown nightlife at this clean and spacious home. Conveniently located near highway 14 for easy access, with a two stall garage available for covered parking. Two parks located right nearby for families to enjoy.

An older home with modern updates, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. As you enter through the backdoor, you'll head up a few steps to the kitchen.

From there, you will walk to the open living room and dining space. Upstairs is a lofted bedroom with two single beds and a futon. It's a spacious and funky space to hang out or sleep in.

Back on the main level, you will find two bedrooms, each with their own style, along with our main bathroom. We've included some basic toiletries in case you forgot to pack them!

During nice weather the front porch offers a relaxing space, while out the back door you'll notice you're steps away from a city park.

Lastly, the basement offers a quiet queen-sized bedroom, laundry room, bathroom and large living room with a pull out full-sized memory-foam bed. A perfect space to hang out in between activities.

Kick back, relax and have fun.

Guest access
The whole house is yours during your stay. We try to minimize any disruptions during your stay and want you to feel at home.

We ask that you do not use the utility room or the access closets up in the attic bedroom. Hopefully this doesn't need to be said, but please stay off the roof.

Other things to note:
We've included some basics in both the kitchen and bathroom to make your stay more comfortable to include: coffee maker, coffee filters, coffee and creamer, salt and pepper, olive oil, toaster, wine bottle opener, razors, shampoo, conditioner, feminine products, makeup removal towels, blow dryer, hair spray, body soap

We are located by an open field so please keep the doors shut so we don't end up with mice! Small, well-behaved dogs are welcome and we have provided dog dishes and dog-waste bags for guest use. Please pick up after your dog and kennel if leaving them at the house when you are not there.

There is extra pillows and bedding in the bedroom closets.

A snow shovel is in the garage. Snow will not be removed during your stay. If it is a sizeable snow fall, we will do our best to come help.

Absolutely no smoking or open flames. This is our property and we want to keep it smoke free and reduce fire hazards.

Labor Day weekend fun
We had a wonderful family vacation with my parents and my siblings. Plenty of room to spread out. Great amenities and the host has truly thought of everything. Only little glitch was road construction around the house, but who can possibly know about that ahead of time. Lots of street parking. Very kind neighbors. We would most definitely stay again!!

Clean and Great Location!
The house was very clean and had everything we needed. There was a bit of construction around the area but it didn't affect our stay. Would stay here again!

About the host

We love Brookings, but we also love to travel. When we travel, we feel more comfortable in a home rather than in a hotel, plus you get a better feel for the area when you can "live like a local" for a few nights. That's why, when the chance to invest in a local property came about, we jumped at it. We want to make you feel at home as you visit the place we call home.

Why they chose this property

A couple years ago, we had a friend named Bailey who lived in this house. When her landlords decided to sell, we jumped on it and, since it's always been "Bailey's house" to us, we decided to name it The Bailey Bungalow.

What makes this property unique

The Bailey Bungalow is uniquely located close to campus for SD State events, close to downtown for a fun night out, and close to a city park for families to enjoy. Not only is the location great, but with covered, off-street parking you don't have to worry about getting in to a super hot or freezing car in the morning!
