Location, location, location!

Our extended family of 7 adults and 3 children had a great week at this home in Feb. Very spacious 3-story, with multiple wood-burning fireplaces, shared hot tub (with adjacent home), and two parking stalls in covered carport. Kitchen was fairly well equipped with updated appliances. Temperature control was excellent. The 40-yr old property has been updated in places but does show some use. Property management company was very responsive. For the price paid, the limited supplies provided for towels (none for the spa), trash bags, and dish soap, etc. seems miserly. Best feature is the location - right next to chair turn on Christie Express so works excellent as ski in/ski out for green-run skiers and above. No close shuttles so a AWD vehicle may be needed to get downtown and to the base.

Location and Privacy!

We had a group of 12 people from all over the U.S. join us for a long ski weekend. Each bedroom has its own private ensuite, and the house had plenty of room for us all to spread out. The location was amazing -- ski-in/ski-out and a large room to house our skis and equipment right off the trail. The kitchen was stocked well (toaster didn't work very well, but not a huge issue), and communication with our house manager was excellent. Would definitely rent this property again. BTW - we had plenty of heat and hot water every day for all of us to shower AND enjoy the hot tub. Not sure what the negative reviews regarding these issues were, but we did not experience any of it during our Thursday-Tuesday stay.

Not as advertised!!! Beware

While it's hard to beat the location, this is not exactly the property that you might think it is. The pictures are somewhat deceptive. The furniture is dated. Much of it looks like it could come from the Ramada inn. We waited an hour to get inside when we got there. No one would give us a code to get in and no one came to greet us. When somebody finally did arrive it was the bookkeeper. She was a very nice lady but she knew nothing about the house nor how anything worked. The carpets were dirty. There was a broken lamp with glass shards. And the place was not heated when we arrived so it was already cold. And with really high ceilings it was going to take a while for it to heat up. This is after spending an hour waiting for them. When we went to turn all the heat on the main room heaters were broken. They responded by bringing a few small space heaters. All this with ceilings 20 ft plus high. That wasn't fixed until our third day. The main heater in the kitchen was also broken and as far as I can tell was never fixed properly until we left. This was embarrassing as I had flown my family in from other places. And we had paid top dollar for this place. When they went to compensate us it was absolutely minimal. Overall be careful here. Would I recommend it. No of course not not for the money. .

True Ski In / Ski Out In steamboat

Overall a great experience. Communication was great. We had Nomadness do some grocery shopping prior to our arrival (great service). The property was as advertised, it fit 2 families of 5 comfortably. Quick easy access right under the Christie Peak Express, parking for 2 vehicles. Everything was clean and in functioning order. Hope to be back next year.

Do not rent this property

They charge high and prices and stock it with subpar material you end up going to the grocery store buying everything you need to maintain a home while you are away. We also got locked out one night and we called the property manager and they said they do not have access codes for the main entryway into the vestibule, luckily we found our way in
