Dock details: There is a walk down steps to the dock built into the hill. Once down to the dock, the dock is big enough to enjoy the scenery.

(A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Truly a home away from home…

This place really wowed me it was so clean and the host assured you had everything that you needed all you need to bring was yourself and food. The scenery was so beautiful, calm, and the location was everything. If I come to Roond Rock again I would definitely rebook this home! The home is beautiful!!!:

false advertising

Website advertising this house has changed since we booked in April 2023 because it now discusses a drought and says a boat dock is "nearby". Initially we believed this was a lake front house with a boat dock, and there were photos to support that. But this property is about 150ft above the lake so I'm not sure which boat dock we saw in the photo. So we initially planned on bringing a boat but the current drought dissuaded us from doing that, which was just as well as the lake bed was totally dry in front of the house, and for quite a way south, but this is clearly not just because of the 2023 drought. The nearest boat docks are 4 miles away by road because the house next door has what seems to be an illegal gate across the road. There is a large grove of 10ft high trees in front of those boat docks, so again, not just some 2023 drought.

Hilltop view

Great location with plenty of space. No water in this portion of the lake, but that was expected. Quiet! Bring your own fun and games and towels. Not much in the way of entertainment, so plan ahead as well as research restaurants and things to do. Hot tub was great!

Great Lake House - No Lake!!

We were celebrating our girls birthday and I was looking for a lake house on Lake Travis. I even filtered my search for lake side only. We were super disappointed to arrive and find that there is NO LAKE!! Even on the map, it appears this house is on the lake. The listing indicates that water levels may be low - but this was not a case of low water levels. This part of Lake Travis obviously has been dry for years. There is a dock sitting in the dry lake bed. There is a path that is completely overgrown and appears to not have been used for years. The house itself is beautiful! Very well done with new appliances and everything you need for a nice stay. The decks outside were nice with a beautiful view of the hills. The girls enjoyed the hot tub. This is a very nice home, and you will enjoy it. Just understand that there is NO LAKE at this FORMER lake house. This should be made clear in the listing.

From the cleanliness, to the small annemeties to the gorgeous view to even the Hamic, this was the perfect spot and the perfect house. The luxurious bathroom and bedrooms were a very nice touch and we never needed to go get anything from HEB. I loved everything about it and it made my bachelor party an amazing one #WhereIsTheLake.
