About this property

Modern ski home at Pico-Killington Mountain.

Renovated and modern ski home adjacent to Pico Ski mountain. This property is conveniently next to Pico Mountain and just 12 minutes from Snowshed at Killington Mountain and 10 minutes to all Killington has to offer. It’s not ski on ski off, but it’s the next best thing, on a quiet road next to the ski slopes of Pico. Lots of outdoor space for you to enjoy year round.

Great vacation rental. This beautiful, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house features an open concept in the main living space, a brick wood burning fireplace, abundant natural light, and a bonus room with laundry facilities.

It is recommended that you have good snow tires or an all wheel/four wheel drive vehicle with good tires when visiting Pico and Killington.

There is a lot to see and do in the Town of Killington!

The Beast of the East. Killington Peak summit sits at 4,241 feet with a base elevation of 1,165 feet, giving it the largest vertical drop in New England. The mountain is home to an extensive trail system that spans six mountains, plus sister resort, Pico Mountain, that's just 5 miles away.

Killington's terrain is extremely diverse, ranging from gentle groomers and learning areas to steep mogul runs and gladed trails as well as some of the best terrain parks in the Northeast. Non-skiing guests can also enjoy a wide variety of winter adventures, including snowmobile tours, the Beast Coaster, bike rentals, scenic gondola rides, sleigh rides, snowshoe tours and a tubing park.

Killington averages 250 inches of natural snowfall a year and is complemented by a vast snowmaking system covering 600 acres. With 17 snowcats in action every night, you can find more than 40 miles of runs groomed on a nightly basis.

During the summer months you can play a round of golf at Green Mountain National Golf Course voted "Vermont's #1 Public Golf Course" by Golf Digest.

Nearby Killington Mountain Bike Park offers the ultimate summer lift-served mountain biking experience with gravity and trail riding for all ability levels and is home to some of the coolest natural and manmade features in the region.

If you like to hike, both the Long Trail and the Appalachian Trail go through Killington. The Long Trail is the oldest long distance trail in the United States. Its 270 mile footpath follows the ridge of the Green Mountains from the Massachusetts border to the Canadian border. The Appalachian Trail is a scenic 2,175 national trail which runs from Georgia to Maine. Killington is home to some of the most scenic areas of this trail such as Thundering Falls.

Located halfway between Rutland and Woodstock, there is no limit to things to do or see!

Wonderful Pico Getaway
The house is newly renovated with a spacious open concept living area, new bathrooms and plenty of space! We loved the cozy fireplace and you can actually walk about 3 mins to a cut through where you can ski down the bunny hill to the base area. Great location and we'll definitely be back!

Great Ski Trip House
Overall we loved the property. The house was laid out really well, was clean, was very nicely decorated and was in a great location. The owner was super responsive to our questions, getting back each time within minutes. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and there were plenty of extra blankets and towels. The house was very well stocked with everything we’d expect from an owner who cares about his renters. The only things I would point out were the stairs up to the main bedroom were winding stairs that were okay for us but might pose a difficulty to anyone with mobility constraints. There was no closet in the master bedroom, which was a little inconvenient. The driveway was steep and it would have been better if we had four wheel drive, but the owner has salt and sand stocked up and we were still able to get up the driveway despite it being icy and snowy. The access road to the property is also steep but it was well plowed and sanded.

Nice location
The house was in an ideal location for skiing at Pico Mountain and close to Killington. The fireplace chimney could use a good cleaning. Even with the flue wide open it made the house very smoky. Besides the fireplace everything was as described. I would return if I was skiing in the area.

We love Killington!
We have been skiing, snowboarding and hiking Killington for many years. After visiting and renting multiple times we decided to finally purchase our own property in the Green Mountains. We are now looking to share our property and love for Killington with others.

Why they chose this property

On Pico Mountains doorstep and a few minutes drive from Killington Resort this property is ideal for families. Pico had a great reputation for being a family friendly mountain with lots of greens and blues. And we are close enough that you can take a rest at home for lunch or nap time.
Close enough to Killington Resort, a 10 minute drive, for those who want to hit the big mountain and all it has to offer.
In the warmer months the house is well located for hiking and other outdoor activities. The Appalachian Trail/Long Trail is practically in the back yard. Deers Leap is just up the road.

What makes this property unique

Located on a side road adjacent to Pico Mountain this property is a quiet retreat for families and friends.
The large open living area is great for entertaining and gathering.
In the warmer months enjoy the spectacular scenery from the deck and enjoy an open fire in the fire pit.
