Hi, we're Liz and John and we'd like to welcome you to our townhome in Ballard. A little about us: we met in the south of France where we lived for several years before relocating to Seattle in 2000. John is Irish and speaks French, Spanish and Portuguese. Liz grew up on Bainbridge, a beautiful island in the Puget Sound. Our interests are varied: we're musicians, motorcyclists, fishers, hikers, skiiers, bikers, climbers, kayakers, entrepreneurs, sustainable farmers, gourmet foodie locavores, dog whisperer wannabees, wilderness lovers. We practice meditation and yoga and do our best to parent our wonderful four year old.

Just wonderful!

My family and I had the best time in Seattle, and with all the sight seeing we did, it was just wonderful to look forward to staying in a home away from home. This apt was clean, spacious, comfy and we lacked nothing. The neighborhood was lovely with all its mature trees and blooming flowers. I not only would recommend it, I WILL be back, thank you

Clean, quiet and spacious... perfect for our family

Our family of six adults was able to spread out and relax comfortably in this town home on a cozy, quiet street in Ballard. The amenities met or exceeded our expectations. It was nice to find that some staples were provided like hand soap, trash bags, coffee filters, laundry supplies and plenty of towels (bath and kitchen). The radio (already tuned to NPR) was a nice touch. We really appreciated the off-street parking space that came with the rental. This is an attached unit but we never heard a sound from the neighbors. The owner was available immediately to help us when we had a question.

We were happy to discover a supermarket and coffee shops very nearby. The walkability was fantastic. We enjoyed excellent restaurants (Moshi Moshi Sushi, The Other Coast Cafe, Miro Tea, Hot Cakes, Java Bean Coffee, Ballard Bros. Seafood and Mighty-O Donuts) and entertainment (The Ballard Locks, Stash Pot Shop {hey, it's legal here}, The Noble Fir) without leaving the area. Ballard is a small town with a big sparkle. When we wanted to go downtown we found the RapidRide bus to be an easy and affordable commute.

This is a home and a location I would return to.

Comfortable and convenient; VRBO problems

Overall the home is very comfortable and the location was convenient for us. Must be able to climb multiple levels of stairs daily. Kitchen could use a few more utensils, drinkware, and a wine bottle opener.

The owner was very helpful in that VRBO did not send us the checkin information so we had to contact the owner directly to get into the home. Also VRBO had my check out date wrong even though I paid in advance for a specific time period so on the date VRBO thought we were leaving we were temporarily locked out of the home. Again, we contacted the owner and he quickly sent the new entry code for us to get back in the home.

The home and owner were great - VRBO gets very bad marks from a first time user.

Heart of Ballard

Our stay in the Ballard townhouse was very comfortable. The house had all the equipment we needed. It's two blocks from a well stocked QFC supermarket, a couple of more blocks to the heart of Ballard's excellent restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the Crittenden locks where you can see migrating salmon.

Good Ballard location and clean

Stayed in Ballard to visit son who was also staying in the neighborhood for the summer. This condo was well located with a nice grocery store on the corner. Easy parking and getting around,. It had more beds and space then we needed, and was comfortable and clean. Would recommend for families.

Great property in a great location.

The house was excellent and well laid out for our family needs. We had two families share the house as we gathered for a family reunion. There were ample bathrooms and the beds were very comfortable and with adequate number for our needs. The house was clean upon our arrival and the kitchen was functionally equipped. The house is very well situated - a wonderful grocery store is just a block away and there are many delightful restaurants within walking distance.

The location of our townhome is perfect for vacation and is the type of home we would like to stay in ourselves when we travel. It is within walking distance of beaches, parks, sailing marina, fabulous restaurants and all sorts of recreation. The layout of the property makes it an instant home away from home.

Sit quietly by the Ballard Locks just a short walk from our townhome and read a book while boats and ships glide by or view the immense salmon run through the famous fish ladders at the Locks. Barbeque with friends at the Golden Gardens beach and see sea lions and seals (or at least hear them barking!). Take a sailboat or kayak and explore the Puget Sound. Puget Sound is also reputed to have some of the finest scuba diving on the West coast. Whatever your tastes, our townhome in Ballard is located in a safe and friendly neighborhood with a unique character and unrivalled amenities.
