Cozy Cabin

The property was very clean and exactly as described. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was right there. Communication with Cheryl was great, she was very responsive and personable. Location was close to the colleges that we were visiting with our son which was great. We would certainly stay again if we're in town! Thanks for a great experience!

Spotless!

We had a great stay! The Higley Flow state park was lovely. The cottage was easy to find. The beds were comfortable too! We visited our son at St. Lawrence University and would stay again when we next visit.

Cabin in the woods

Fantastic little place to stay. Clean, comfortable and had all that we needed for Parent's Weekend. Very good communication with host. Would love to visit again sometime. Thank you!

Hello,
I am a music teacher and my husband is a contractor. We have lived in Colton all of our lives and we enjoy all the beautiful activities and features of our area. We would love to share it with you and can help you plan your stay.

Why they chose this property

This little cabin was a summer camp built by the owner. It needed to be moved or demolished. The owner loved it because it was built by her father so Tim, my husband, orchestrated the move to keep the cabin in one piece. My son lived here for one year and when he moved west we decided to try vacation rental and we have loved meeting new people and helping them enjoy their visit to Colton and the surrounding area.

What makes this property unique

If you choose to stay here, you will be close to Higley State Park where you can swim, ski, bike, hike or just enjoy the playground and trails. You will also be able to kayak, snowmobile and or ice fish depending on the weather. Sometimes you can even skate on the flow!!
We have a fire pit and a grill if you like to stay outdoors as much as you can. This little cabin will give you the freedom to make your own meals, bring your pets and just relax in the natural surroundings.
