About this property

If you are looking for some fun, you have found the right place. This guesthouse has much to offer including a heated garage bar that has a pool table, arcade game, board games, TV, and corn hole that can be used inside the garage or in the large yard that the garage door opens up to. In the large yard there is a sand volleyball court, disc golf, ladder golf, croquet set, relaxing gazebo, and a large bonfire pit with wood provided. Directly across the street is our lake lot/beach with plenty of non-motorized watercrafts for your use including kayaks, paddle boards, a water bike, and a paddle boat. If you prefer some quieter moments, the upstairs game room has a PS2, PS3, and large TV for your enjoyment along with a deck for your relaxation needs. The paved Lakeland trail is right behind our home with Zukey lake Tavern only 1/4 mile away off the trail. A must see! 20 min from Ann Arbor. The memories created and sunsets to be seen will create your perfect vacation.

This is our guest home where the entire inside is private. We live in the actual home attached by a breezeway, so you will see us around the yard and beach at times. However, we try not to invade your privacy outside and do not use our yard and beach as we would when we don't have guests. We are social and friendly people, so feel free to reach out and chat, or just enjoy your own peace and quiet. We will respect your wishes.

We also only allow 2 cars in the parking spots in the driveway and 1 next door. No parking in the street. Please respect these rules

Do know that our dock is "seasonal" and is usually in from May until Oct. Sometimes we can put the dock in the water in April. It depends on our lovely Michigan weather. Please inquire before booking if you need to know. The dock is in place for your relaxation pleasure, at this time, we do not allow boats to be parked at this dock. No rentals available on this lake.

Easter get away

The main level recreation/bar area was perfect for a family get together. Lots of seating, lots of entertainment with the pool table, corn hole and other games. The upstairs (bedrooms/office TV room) was very nice, clean and comfortable.

Weekend Stay

A few friends and I stayed a couple nights for a Michigan football game. Lots to do at this VRBO, the downstairs rec room is perfect if you have a group staying. Clean and had plenty of room for four of us.

Great stay

We had a wonderful stay here. We had 7 people for the evening, but only 4 stat the night. Property was beautiful and kitchen was stocked with utensils. Bedrooms were also plentifully stocked with extra blankets and pillows plus plenty of sleeping options, 2 traditional beds, 2 futons and an air mattress. We also had the pleasure of meeting a very friendly orange cat who hung out with us outside and enjoyed pets. The bar area was perfect to sit around and chat.

Great stay, great location, great hosts!

We stayed for a short weekend due to a local event. They had all the staples, quiet neighborhood, hospitable touches, super clean and really thoughtful hosts!

My husband and I are both professionals. I am an RN at a local hospital and Nick is a carpenter working at EMU. We love living on the lake providing entertainment and activities with many friends around when we want, but the lake also provides us the relaxing atmosphere and moments of peace and quiet when needed. The sunsets are absolutely beautiful! We both love to cycle on the lakeland trail stopping occasionally at the local Zukey Lake Tavern or Hamburg Pub directly off the trail. I like to run as well on the 24 miles of paved trail end to end...longer with crushed gravel. So much to enjoy in all seasons. .check us out.

Why they chose this property

We have lived here for 20+ years but just added this space, that is attached to our house via a breezeway, in 2016. We have 6 kids and now they are all grown up and have moved on, so we decided to start letting others enjoy this beautiful part of our home.

What makes this property unique

Enjoy the benefits of the lake but also the benefits of a large yard (3 acres) which is rare with lake living. We just happen to own the lake lot across the street from our home giving us the best of both worlds.
