About this property

Red Cedar at Tahoe... just a block to Lake Tahoe

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!

Just two blocks to the center of Tahoe City (restaurants, night spots, groceries, etc.), as well as the shores of Lake Tahoe, this house just went through a major renovation. New siding, flooring, totally new kitchen, new Euro bathroom, plus other upgrades - Olde Tahoe vibes with new amenities. Just minutes to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Homewood ski resorts. 15 mins to Northstar.

Location, location, location. The house is close to all Tahoe City and Lake Tahoe have to offer. You can just park the car and walk everywhere. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, the house sits on a great lot with private backyard.

This home has the charm of Olde Tahoe, with new amenities and upgrades. A new kitchen is just off the living area, with access to the big deck. The living area is spacious, with comfortable leather couches to lounge away the day or recoup from a day of Tahoe adventure. Switch on the gas fireplace, and Voila!, ambiance. With peeks of Lake Tahoe, and giant pines, it's authentic mountain country. There's a flat screen SMART TV with cable, so you can catch up on the latest Netflix or network shows.

3 bedrooms: one bedroom (with queen bed) is on the first floor, and two additional bedrooms are upstairs. The upstairs front bedroom features a queen bed, with peeks of Lake Tahoe. The other upstairs bedroom has a daybed with trundle (makes two twins), perfect for kids or friends who need a separate bed. **Note, the house is an Olde Tahoe, with stairs leading to the second floor steeper than you may be used to.

Appliances included: oven range, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, washer dryer, coffeemaker, blender, outside grill (weather permitting), washer/dryer. The house is stocked with amenities to get you started on your Tahoe Odyssey: coffee, tea, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, and all linens & towels.

The outdoor space has been reimagined... a private fenced yard with large outdoor table w/umbrella, gas grill, lounging hammocks, Adirondack chairs, and Corn Hole for a bit of old school fun. The perfect spot to unwind, socialize or meditate after a Tahoe day.

What we like most about the house is the, "ahhhh" moment when you walk through the door. Mountain authenticity, stacked with all amenities of home. Stay a while.....

While the house sleeps up to six, it best suits four adults (+kids).
Guest access
You will have access to the entire house, deck and yard.
Other things to note
Ask about 7+ day stay discounts. Also available monthly.

Sorry no pets.

It is important to note that the house is in the Tahoe basin which is surrounded by forest. There may be be wildlife and insects in the area (squirrels, raccoons, coyotes, bears, spiders, bees, mosquitoes). Please do not interact with them. A fed bear is a dead bear.

Currently California is under drought conditions. Please be mindful of water use. There is an increased chance of wildfires. Possible smoke in the area is out of our control. Refunds will only be given for mandatory evacuations due to fire danger.

Best Tahoe City stay!
Our family of 4 rented this home for 3 nights. Perfect home and yard and location. Can walk to beaches, restaurants and grocery store. Our girls loved the hammocks in the backyard and having their own space upstairs.

Great week in Tahoe!
Great little cabin that is walking distance to just about everything in Tahoe City. The cabin was as-described and reflected in the pictures. One word of caution if you are considering this cabin -- the stairs to the two rooms on the second floor are very narrow and steep, so if you have mobility issues, please keep that in mind. There is a room on the first floor with a queen bed. The cabin was well-equipped and clean and great location!
