Located in the prestigious Bear Loop neighborhood, Bear Lodge is a custom built home located within walking distance to the lake, the Alpine Pedal Path, and a quick 8 minute easy drive to the ski slopes (Snow Summit or Bear Mountain are each 1.7 miles away).
 
Before entering the home through the wrought iron arched double doors, you can sit on the lovely porch rockers to enjoy the day. Upon entry into the home you arrive in the lounge area that has a comfy sofa, leather club chairs, a new Smart Flatscreen TV, a full wet bar with wine refrigerator, and large windows to enjoy the sunlight. You will also notice the expansive high vaulted ceilings and decorative mountain charm including travertine floors and log cabin details throughout the home.
 
All three bedrooms are located on the first floor. Walk through to the left to the home's large main suite where there is a Cal King bed, a Ceramic Gas Log Fireplace, large 55" Smart Flatscreen TV and an attached full bath with soaking tub and walk in shower. You also have access to the lower level covered deck to step out and enjoy the morning sun and fresh air while sipping your coffee.
 
Also on the ground floor is the second bedroom offering a King bed, a new Smart Flatscreen TV, large walk-in closet and access to the covered deck shared with the master suite. The third bedroom offers a Full bed, and Twin over Twin bunk, new Smart Flatscreen TV and ample closet space. Off the hallway is the home's second full bath. Also, down the hall and to the left is the home's laundry room offering a full size washer and dryer. For convenience, outside near the garage is a shed to safely store all your snowboard and ski essentials by the 2 car driveway when you arrive.
 
Head up the beautiful stairs to the open concept Great Room living area. With high vaulted ceilings and large picture windows on both sides of the home, you can enjoy the mountain views, beautiful trees and spectacular sunsets. The large open living area has an oversized sectional sofa, leather club chairs, and a loveseat, all of which provides ample seating for your entire group. The second large gas Ceramic Gas Log Fireplace and a new 65” Smart Flatscreen TV add to the comfort of this Great Room.
 
Directly across the Great Room is the fully stocked large gourmet kitchen. The kitchen has plenty of room for food preparation and has new KitchenAid stainless steel appliances including a fridge/freezer, gas range/oven, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen has a large work island which is shared with a large beautiful natural wood carved breakfast bar. The breakfast bar comfortably seats 6.  Keep in contact, if you need to, with a lovely natural wood work desk and double monitors to plug into for any connectivity you may need.
 
Off the kitchen is the large dining area with a full size dining room table with seating for up to eight, which is supplemented by additional seating at the breakfast bar and additional sideboard and bar area for entertaining. Upstairs also has a roomy third  bathroom (half-bath) for easy access.
 
Upstairs also gives you access to a large upper deck where you can sit and relax in the loveseat and chairs or enjoy dinner at the patio table that seats 6 while grilling on the propane grill and peek-a-boo views of Sugar Loaf and Snow Summit and lovely sunset views to the West.
 
With high end furnishings, carefully chosen decor and central location, Bear Lodge will be the perfect place to stay while visiting Big Bear.  It is sure to become a family favorite and yearly tradition.

Please be mindful of our neighbors during your stay. Our property's quiet hours are in place to ensure that everyone can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. We care a lot about maintaining good relationships with our community, so we appreciate you following our "house rules" during your stay. Disturbing the peace is a County Ordinance Violation. Please keep noises to a minimum between the hours of 9pm and 9am. Being on the deck using the BBQ after 10:00 PM can result in a fine. Failure to comply with these rules may result in expulsion from the property by the County of San Bernardino Officers with no refund and additional fines from the County of San Bernardino if they receive a noise complaint.
There is a very strict limit of 2 cars maximum at this home. Neighbors will call code enforcement and you risk fines or being towed if there are more than 2 cars. Guests must park in the driveway of the Bear Lodge property only ABSOLUTELY NO STREET PARKING.  Guests take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for following the 2 car maximum parking at this property. You cannot hide additional vehicles at this property!
