Sunset Treasure is our home away from home. With direct beach access, one can enjoy the day at the beach before returning home to relax downstairs at the built-in table or on the balcony. With the fully stocked kitchen, one can prepare a meal that everyone will enjoy. With plenty of amenities, you will feel as if you are at home.

If you want to spend the day in Galveston, hop on 87, where you can take the ferry over or stay on the peninsula and enjoy the local shops and restaurants.

Video surveillance cameras monitor the exterior of our home. There are no cameras inside the house out of respect for the privacy of our guests and in compliance with VRBO policies. Footage remains private and may be used for liability reasons, monitoring occupancy, and ensuring house rules are followed. The cameras also protect guests’ property during their stay. The cameras in no way infringe upon the expectation of privacy in these public areas.

Nice house! Great location! Unfortunately, the air conditioner was set too warm and the beds were uncomfortable. All guests did not sleep well due to this.

Perfect weekend

Our family stayed for a weekend, and the house was great. And even if you decide to stay longer, it has everything you need. Fully equipped kitchen, laundry, beach equipment, and toys for my 1-year-old. It was a great stay.

Hi, I am Lynette. My husband, Michael, and I work full-time and have three children. When we are not working, we love spending time with the kids and each other. Having three kids keeps us busy with school activities, and there is never a dull moment. When we have free time, we enjoy getting away to the beach, even if it is for a day.

Why they chose this property

Every summer my family and I have taken a beach vacation. Most of our vacations have been to Galveston with one exception For the past several years we have talked about buying a house of our own to enjoy and rent to others when we were not staying.

In late 2021, we decided if we were going to buy a house, it was the time to do it, especially with the real estate market as it was. After looking at other homes, we kept coming back to Sunset Treasure. It met all of our needs, had direct beach access, and was within walking distance of the beach. Plus the beach reminded us of the laid-back family atmosphere of the beaches at the west end of Galveston such as Jamaica and Pirate's Beach.

After talking with the owners, we decided to move forward with the purchase and closed on the property in 2022. We are now the proud owners of Sunset Treasure and have enjoyed our time there.

What makes this property unique

Being on Bolivar, the area is less crowded than Galveston, but with the property being close to the ferry you can go to Galveston in a few minutes. The property's location allows people to drive onto the beach with a motor vehicle. On other beaches in the area, you are not allowed to drive a car onto the beach.
