Tucked away in a serene, gated setting, this charming log cabin home in Mills River overlooks a scenic mountain lake and occupies a leafy five-acre lot. This property is an easy, eight-mile drive from the Asheville Regional Airport, 11 miles from Brevard, and 12 miles from the many charms of downtown Hendersonville. Just 14 miles away, visit Dupont State Forest with its beautiful waterfalls, 86 miles of trails, and some of the best mountain biking and horseback riding in the state, or hike and sightsee in Pisgah National Forest, home to Looking Glass Falls, Triple Falls, and Sliding Rock, only 22 miles from your door.

Step inside this inviting home to find vaulted ceilings, glowing pinewood accents, and a gas fireplace that adds a warm and welcoming feel throughout. Recent additions include a large sectional and a 65-inch TV next to the downstairs wet bar and a new bunk room with double bunk beds. There are many spaces to dine and relax outdoors with your loved ones, with new dining tables on the second-level deck as well as new front and back porch seating. Gaze across the lake from the two-level covered balcony, spread out between two living areas, and whip up tasty meals in the chef's kitchen. Sip drinks at the wet bar or take it lakeside around the firepit by the dock. A Ping-Pong table, cornhole, exercise bike, and kayaks are all available for recreational use.

Additional amenities include a washer/dryer, a desk and chair for your laptops, central air-conditioning, and an EV charger for guests to use.

Everything and More

The moment we arrived to Yonder Cabin, it was instant relaxation and happiness. It had everything we needed and more which made it so much easier to travel with a four month old and toddler. The view on the balcony porch looking out to the lake is beautiful and peaceful. You’re in between a valley and views which is hard to find. This cabin is exactly what you’re looking for when you need a little escape. Conveniently located near so many attractions without a tiring drive to and from the airport. We are making this an annual retreat!

Beautiful lake front cabin

This cabin was above and beyond my expectations. It was beautiful, clean, and located on the most peaceful piece of property. We enjoyed fishing in the lake, playing ping pong and corn hole, and had fun game nights with all the available board games. Sitting out by the fire pit and enjoying the serenity of the lake was my absolute favorite part. We will definitely be visiting again!

Bachelor weekend

The property is as stated and the pictures do not lie. This is a beautiful house. It was perfect for a Bachelor weekend. It was far enough away from the city to chill with the guys/hiking/fishing, and close enough to the city nightlife. House was clean and comfortable. We wish we could have checked in earlier and that is the only downside.

Getaway Retreat

This house met and even exceeded our expectations coming into it. Perfect spot for a group of 6-8 people looking for a place to hang, relax, enjoy the outdoors as well as rustic comforts of a cabin home with modern amenities. Would definitely come back to this location again!

Best Trip Ever!

The moment we pulled up to this Lakeside retreat and walked into the cabin our family was immediately relaxed (and impressed) and it felt like a vacation. All of us loved the kayaks, fishing poles, lake toys, and firepit. That location was super convenient to great hikes in the Pisgah Forest, and also very close to breweries, restaurants, and shopping. We will definitely book this place again!
