About this property

Nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains, this creekside retreat is secluded from the street by towering sycamore, oak and redwood trees. A natural habitat with access to plenty of hiking trails, this is the perfect spot to explore everything Topanga has to offer:

- 3 minutes to Old Town Topanga & General Store
- 7 minutes to Beach
- 15 minutes to Santa Monica
- Plenty of dine-in options within a two-mile radius, including the Inn of the Seventh Ray, Café 27, and Canyon Bistro.

The studio is detached on a gated property, with private access and a shared driveway with the main house. Furnished with a king-sized bed, sitting and dining area, kitchenette (no hot plate or stove), full bath and ample closet space, TV, internet and french windows that let in plenty of light and Topanga air. Outdoor breakfast or meditation spot and pool usage included.

Modern Garage

The check-in process was easy and we arrived to a modern little bungalow with snacks. The space is decorated nicely and comfortable for a max of two. The downsides are this bungalow is a garage that was turned into a VRBO. We went in April and the days were on the colder side. The unit had zero insulation and zero air circulation. They gave us a small floor heater for our stay which took the chill out of the air. This place is ok for a night or two. But we stayed for 5 nights and it really isn't setup for a longer term stay. Also, the pictures and description don't state anything about the main house being very close. The owners have to walk right in front of our unit in order to get to their cars. Overall, it was a nice stay. But I felt that the description of the property, reviews and photos didn't fully paint the correct picture.

Cute little studio near event space

The value of this property is amazing! There was nothing else in the area that was as nice or as affordable, and we wanted to be close to a wedding venue, so didn’t want to look further out from this area. Everything was clean and really well decorated and overall, I would recommend it, but would give two caveats: there was definitely a bit of an old, stale smell and the pictures don’t show just how close you are to the host’s main residence. They have to walk by the glass doors of the studio to get to their car. For our purposes, it was fine and if I needed to be in the area again, I would stay here, but just some thing for others to consider before booking.

Just a short walk to SoCal’s best trails

This is a great space with secure off street parking. Very responsive owners who went above and beyond. Super comfortable bed. Wonderful pool and fire pit. Topanga Canyon has some amazing hiking just a few min walk away. Close to LA but feels like a world away. Internet was sometimes weak so maybe not the best for working, but great for everything else.

Cute bunglaow

The place was at great location, just half way up Topanga surrounded by beautiful scenery. Just a short drive up the canyon to shops, restaurants, etc. We did a trail race in Calabasas, hiked to some hot springs near Summerland, hiked in Topanga, and checked out the beaches at Malibu. Great location! The place itself was perfect. Comfortable bed, living room, fridge, sink, shower, etc to make the stay comfortable. Pawel was great host. Highly recommend!!

Perfect gateway

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The owners are lovely people and are very welcoming. We went hiking in the mornings, and watched the sunsets at the beach in the evening. The studio looks just like in the pictures. We hope to be back again some day.
