About this property

Calm Waterfront on navigable channel, with Kayaks, screened areas, pets welcome.

Very peaceful sanctuary-like waterfront home with amazing views, lots of outdoor areas to relax and unwind. Upstairs screened in porch with futon, has amazing view of the water, dining space with large picnic table for guests in 20x12 foot lounge downstairs. Fish off the dock or head out on the water in one of the Kayak's, or bring your own Paddle Board or smaller boat, navigable by pontoon, smaller bay boats without hard t-tops, or flat boats. Water is shallow throughout river system so take precautions. Boat ramp nearby if you prefer to be launch directly on the river rather than navigate channels. Bring your bike or take a hike and checkout the numerous trails in the area. Plenty of local attractions nearby. Amazing wildlife including Manatees, Dolphins and plenty of various birds. Alligators are in the river system so be aware of them. Washer and Dryer in rental, two full baths, smart TV, Wifi, full kitchen. Pets are welcome, but must be kept on a leash when outside. There is a fence that has just been put in, but the water is not fenced off. Be aware of water safety with pets and children as wildlife including manatees, turtles, alligators and others can come into the canal.

Nice home
Nice place with room for a trailer/boat to park in yard. Front door has an electronic lock, which worked with the code we were given, but the door knob was locked. Owner had the maintenance person come and open the door quickly and replaced the knob. She is very responsive to any questions. Bed in master has a nice supportive mattress, which was fine for my bad back. We have become accustomed to previous renters leaving extra condiments and some spices in other rentals, but none of that was here, I imagine as a result of concern for spreading germs, so we had to get all those right away to cook meals in home, which we do 90% of the time. There are 2 grocery stores at the corner of Halls Road and Hwy 19, so very convenient to get goods. Other than that, we enjoyed the location. It is quite quiet after 10 pm. If you like REAL Key Lime Pie go to the Seagrass Restaurant a block down the Halls Road. Best pie we've had outside of the actual Keys. Thanks Annalea, this is the nicest rental we've had in FL.

Originally from Wisconsin for the first half of my life, I have travelled most of my life and absolutely love being able to be a part of the travel industry with this short term rental. I have worked in Property Management and Real-Estate for a long time after starting out working in social service when I was younger. I strive to provide the best service possible. I am a service oriented person and hope to exceed your expectations with any property you rent or allow me to assist you in selling or purchasing.

I have lived in Mississippi and Louisiana for almost twenty years and I am licensed in those two states as well as I having just completed my test for my Florida License.

My greatest joys are my family, my pup Baylea, traveling, writing, and martial arts. I enjoy living a balanced life and embracing each day in the fullest way possible.

Why they chose this property

This location offers a respite from the business of a city or larger neighborhood. The screened porches are perfect for spending time after having been out in the Florida sun during the day. There is a full kitchen, two bathrooms, and a dock to fish off of in the evening. In the cooler months there is a fireplace, and manatees are seen throughout the river systems and can navigate into this fairly private channel and canal. The house being raised provides plenty of space to enjoy the nature outside that most people visiting this area are looking to see. There are four kayaks with life-jackets and paddles available for your use. Smaller boats that have a shallow draft and no t-top (halls river bridge would need to be passed)can navigate to the main river comfortably. The enterance for this channel is by Nature's Resort RV Park, shortly passed the Halls River Bridge.

If you want to go hang out the house is situated off of Halls River Road between Margaritas and Crumps landing. It's secluded, but very near popular areas such as Old Homosossa and boat ramps.

This home welcomes pets and a fence has recently been added, though it does not fence off the water, so caution and leashes should be used.

What makes this property unique

This property offers a great deal of out door space and a much quieter setting than being on the main river. It is great for those looking for a respite, but still close enough to offer plenty of local attractions easily.
