We offer 7 independent and unique homes thoughtfully spread throughout our lush tropical garden on a private 2.5-acre lot within the luxurious gated community of Tierra Pacifica in Junquillal. We are only 0.8 miles away from the two most private and pristine beaches in our area, Playa Junquillal & Playa Blanca. Guests have full access to all of Tierra Pacifica's amenities as well as those exclusively available to Hotel Balu.

All of our homes surround the heart of our garden oasis, which is designed for large groups to get together, share, & enjoy. Our stunning yoga shala is a carefully designed space where art lives in every detail, raised high off the ground to enjoy the natural breeze and breathtaking garden views. It's the perfect space to host private yoga classes, meditation, massage, cacao ceremonies, and full-on dance parties. Underneath, you can enjoy our outdoor dining space which seats up to 22. A large circular table made of solid Guanacaste wood allows large groups to eat as one. Subtle details like Turkish pillows, surround sound, balanced lighting, and lush jungle create a magical place to enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is also a great place to hang out and enjoy coffee from our complimentary espresso machine, swing in one of our hammocks, and relax all day or co-work in paradise.

Our pool was inspired by the natural hot springs of Costa Rica and is truly a work of art. It features mesmerizing turquoise waters, a relaxing waterfall massage, secret caves with real Kundalini crystals, a relaxing patio with a panoramic view of the property, and a secondary pool that can be heated (for an additional fee), all connected by an incredible water slide!

Our independent homes are each fully equipped with a kitchen or kitchenette, a safe, a private bathroom, a workspace, a private patio, and digital locks that make self-check-in a breeze around the clock. Four of our accommodations (Sirena, Lapa Roja, Tortuga Marina, and Mono Congo) are centered around a large tropical courtyard decorated with more local mural paintings and lit with charming string lights at night, creating the perfect space for friends and family to gather. Our other three accommodations have gorgeous views of the garden, yoga shala, and pool. Our property is home to families of howler monkeys, tropical birds, butterflies, all of which come to enjoy our thriving garden and wide array of fruit trees. We are known to have the best fresh grapefruits in Guanacaste.

Your stay includes daily housekeeping/laundry and full concierge service to help you coordinate any local services that you may be interested in, such as transportation, horseback riding, hiking and waterfall excursions, surf lessons, yoga and meditation classes, massages, painting classes, and more.

As our guest, you will have full access to Tierra Pacifica's amenity center, Club Arbol. It features another pool, a beautiful three-tier design with a wet bar, infinity edge, and a jacuzzi. This gorgeous space is centered around large majestic trees and colorful flora. The club also offers a full-size tennis and pickleball court, an indoor gym and studio (both with air conditioning), private bathrooms with warm showers, and high-speed WiFi. Tierra Pacifica includes miles of nature trails, tropical forest surroundings, and is steps away from the ocean and the world-class waves of this area.

Playa Junquillal is a beautiful black sand beach, and a world-renowned turtle sanctuary and surf destination. It is just a 15-20 minute walk away through a private nature-dense beach path within our community. The area is private and peaceful while still being very close to many local amenities, such as various grocery stores, several amazing restaurants, and the beaches of Playa Negra, Blanca, and Playa Avellanas. Getting here is easy as we are located only one hour away from the Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia, with paved roads the entire way.
