Mixed Review
Location was amazing. Proximity (to bay and ocean as well as restaurants) is the top selling point for this property. Communication was not the best and Vacasa actually called on the first night of our trip telling me we would need to vacate immediately due to maintenance issues and we would have to be relocated. After I told them that wasn’t possible they said they would call me back. Once they returned my call they said maintenance would be handled in August and I was fine to stay. Suddenly the roof leak and bathroom issues went away?? Three days later they emailed to see how the AC was working- there was no AC at the property. Their communication was incredibly confusing and disorganized. The property itself was at one time nice. Layout is fine. It’s just tired looking. Chipped paint, drywall and tile eroding in showers, broken fans, scraped walls, and older washer and dryer. It just needs a facelift. I think once maintenance is handled it will be nice. We have stayed in Mission for the last 10 summers and have stayed at some very nice places. We paid a lot of money to stay here for the 4th of July week and it just wasn’t worth it.

Great Location/Clean
This place was perfect for our group of adults and teens. Situated steps away from the bay and a 1 minute walk to the ocean. House was clean and the kitchen well stocked with dishes, pots/pans and decent small appliances. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were as described. The dining chairs were needing new cushions but still comfortable. The outside patio was nice but needs a good sweeping every day since the tree sheds leaves/debris. There is a hose bib on the patio to wash your feet off but it would be better to have an outdoor shower. The garage is long and fit my 2022 Tundra TRD (stock) though it was a really tight fit. The garage door is 6’10”.

Great location but.....
This was our second stay at this property. Our last stay being two years ago. First the pluses: A great location, nice quiet neighborhood for the most part. Love Olives Bakery and Mrs. B's around the corner. Convenient to bay and beach. Paddle boards for guests to use. Great set up for our two families. We really like this house but there are several concerns that we feel need to be addressed. Now the minuses: The house needs a good deep cleaning. The patio is a nice addition but we had to clean it before we could use it. It was filthy. It needs a good power wash and some TLC. The upstairs shower drains so slowly that you're standing in two to three inches of water within minutes. (It does look like they are in the middle of repairs...possibly for plumbing issues. There were several areas where drywall was missing and taped off which really had no effect on our stay...possibly taped off where plumbing repairs were started.?) The kitchen counter grossed me out last time and I guess I hoped they had been replaced it in the last two years but no...In the pictures it looks as if the counters are a stone or solid surface. Unfortunately the breakfast bar is the only solid surface. The actual counters are wood and they are have not been maintained. They are a breeding ground for all kinds of bacteria. We laid foil over them and used cutting boards that we brought with us but it was still a source of concern. These were the same issues we encountered the last time we stayed here. The stairs going down from the main living area to downstairs are a bit hazardous. There is a metal plate at the top of the stairs that a few of us tripped on going downstairs. I have bruises on the back of my shin from where it dug into my leg. It's really a hazard. Thankfully none of us fell as a result. We were hoping things would have improved in the two years since. We agreed we would write a candid review this time so that the owners would have the opportunity to make this a better experience for their guests.

Great location, needs updates
Great location, but this place needs a lot of updates. 1980s style drier spins but does not get hot. A small load of clothes didn’t dry after over 3 hours in the dryer. The management team was contacted and didn’t really care. The stove smelled like gas when in use and sounded like someone was knocking on the door. Dining room seats with rips in it. Upstairs shower tiles feel like it is going to fall off onto you. Just not what you would expect from a vacation rental. Kind of a beater.
