About this property

Do you dream of living in Italy? Strolling to the bakery for your daily bread, to fruit vendor for your day's produce or just sitting at a cafe full of locals sipping a cappuccino or enjoying an evening aperitivo? I studied abroad 35 years ago in this amazing Italian town and it's been my dream ever since to live in Italy. I recently purchased this charming apartment in Tarquinia's "centro storico" (historic center) and it offers the opportunity to really live like a local. The town is smallish yet not too small. It regularly holds festivals & concerts, has a vibrant restaurant scene, incredible countryside views, an important Etruscan history complete with museum and necropolis - and a beachfront side of town called Tarquinia Lido. All with a train available to Rome and an easy 45 minute drive from the Fiumicino (FCO) Rome airport.

Tarquinia's position offers guests the ability to explore smaller regional gems and get away from the massive tourist crowds. If you've been to Italy before and are looking for a more authentic experience where you can live like a local, then you will fall in love with this comfortable apartment and this beautiful town.

Top-Wohnung in schöner Altstadt

Schöne Wohnung mitten in der Altstadt von Tarquinia, nicht weit entfernt vom Strand. Rom ist mit dem Zug schnell zu erreichen und mit dem Auto sind auch Tagesausflüge nach Florenz, Pisa und Neapel (Pompeji) möglich.

Schöne Wohnung zentral gelegen

Mitten in der schönen Altstatdt Tarquinias liegt diese Wohnung. Sie befindet sich in einem Mehrfamilienhaus und ist schön eingerichtet und verfügt über Alles, was man so im Alltag benötigt (aber keinen TV, weil man den im Urlaub auch nicht braucht). Der Kontakt zu der Eigentümerin und der Managerin war auf Englisch und für uns mit Schulenglisch völlig unproblematisch. Das Meer ist in 10Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen, doch die Stadt hat so viel mehr zu bieten als nur das Meer. Wunderschöne alte Häuser, Kirchen und Necropoli, kleine Gassen und Läden auch ein alter Brunnen direkt vor den Toren der Altstadt. In der Umgebung gibt es viele gut erhaltene etruskische Sehenswürdigkeiten, die oft im Wald versteckt liegen, und auch alte Aquädukte findet man, Rom ist ca 2 Autostunden entfernt, Restaurants gibt es viele vor Ort, Supermarkt ist ein kleiner in der Altstadt, große Supermärkte sind nur wenige Autominuten entfernt, ein Geldautomat an der nächsten Kreuzung. Etwas schwierig ist die Regelung der Müllentsorgung, aber dank der Managerin konnten wir unseren Mull auch problemlos und zu jeder beliebigen Zeit entsorgen. Zudem ist die Innenstadt nicht zu jeder Zeit befahrbar, was bedeutet, dass das Auto außerhalb der alten Stadtmauern geparkt werden muss und man einen kurzen Fußweg von ca 5 Minuten in Kauf nehmen muss. Die Managerin ist Reiseführerin und kennt die besten Geheimtipps! Sie ist die vorrangige Kontaktperson vor Ort, super nett und sehr hilfsbereit, man hat jederzeit einen Ansprechpartner und kann ihr jede beliebige Frage stellen. Wir waren alles in allem sehr zufrieden und kommen sicher gern wieder, wenn wir noch mal in der Gegend sind! Danke an Jennifer und Isa für dieses tolle Urlaubserlebnis! Es war wunderbar bei euch!
