Everything we wanted

This house was everything we were hoping for - beautiful, clean, nicely-furnished, well-equipped, and stocked with supplies, beach gear, and toys. Skipper was thoughtful and kind, and was a pleasure to communicate with before and during our stay. The screened in porch was a great way to enjoy being outside and keep the kids wrangled while beating the heat and rain. The yard was large enough to enjoy playing ball or looking for bugs/frogs with the kids when we weren’t at the beach. The house is in a great location to access all things Carolina or Kure beach. It was an easy walk to the beach, but the golf cart made it even easier, and included a sticker so we could park at the beach for free (normally $25/day or $100/week - and ticketed quickly). The rooftop deck has an outstanding 360 view and was perfect to watch fireworks. The area around the house was nice, quiet, and friendly. Truly a great place to stay at the beach.

Hi there! My name is Skipper. I live here in Carolina Beach, North Carolina with my wife Charlotte, son Jack and our two dogs Jobangles and Dolores

I grew up in Concord, North Carolina and attended college just up the road from Carolina Beach in Wilmington, North Carolina. I have worked in the software development industry for over 15 years as a product manager. For most of my career I have worked at SAS.

Our family loves to travel! We have visited over 30 countries on 6 continents. We started staying in Airbnb’s several years ago, as it provided a great opportunity to meet new people and immerse ourselves in local culture. We also really enjoy seeing live music, and watching and playing soccer.

In 2021, we decided to purchase a house around the corner and start our own Airbnb hosting business. It has been a super fun learning experience and we have had the opportunity to make lots of new friends.
