About this property

Oceanfront Home by Ohana Inns

Nestled on a quiet road right against the Atlantic ocean is where you'll find Ohana Inn's "Oceanfront Home by Ohana Inns". This quaint 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath has a full kitchen stocked with cooking essentials, a back patio looking out to the backyard and ocean, and a kid's playroom at the front of the house making this a perfect home away from home for you and the kids. A perfect location for watching the sunrise and set or just sitting outside on a warm day and reading a good book.
- The house has MINI SPLIT air conditioning and heating.

-Pet Policy:
Here at Open Hearth Inn we welcome your four-legged family member. However, we ask you to help us with the following pet rules while staying with us.

1. Please don't leave your pet in the rooms unattended.

Why? Because they miss you and from our experience of being professional hosts since the 90's, when they are lonely they howl or bark causing others to lose the quiet enjoyment on the property. Lonely pets also use the bed or other furniture to snuggle on while you are away. This is super tough for our housekeepers to remedy because blankets or comforters need to be washed or replaced, also furnishings can take hours to remove hair from so we can present a clean space for the next guest.

Maine is a very pet friendly place and since you brought them on vacation we hope you keep them with you so they can enjoy "Vacation Land" as much as humans do.

2. Please pick up all the poop/excrement they may have.

3. Please have your pup on a leash when enjoying the common areas.

4. Please try to refrain your dog from barking.

We have dog treats, extra poo bags and a water bowl in the common room.

*There will be an additional cleaning fee charged if your pet makes a mess of the room or the bedding. We hope that you and your four-legged family member have a great stay here at Open Hearth Inn.

Needs work
The house was not ok, there is no reason for the well water to smell as it does , it is not a slight odor its overwhelming , I have well water and live on the coast , with the proper treatment it has no odor. The house is not clean , I had to clean the refrigerator , there was crumbs on the kitchen floor , the living room floor was dirty , even found dirty socks next to the couch. We had to was dishes and pans before we used them. I would not recommend .

Nice view with access to the inlet/bay
We had a very nice stay. The view of the inlet with all the lobster boats was beautiful. We enjoyed the dock/water access as well - our kids were able to spend some time fishing and even waded in the water. The drive is a little far to Acadia (a little over an hour) but we were still able to use the rental home as a base for visiting the National Park.

Update listing clearly
We enjoyed our stay at the house as it was in a quiet area and my toddler had so many toys to play with! There were a few issues we have during our stay that we addressed with the property manager. They responded in a timely manner and were helpful. The biggest issue we had was that the dock that is advertised in the listing is caution taped off. They said the cover picture is supposed to tell people that it’s not available but I didn’t find it clear at all.

Beautiful views
The views are gorgeous! The Pigeon Hill hike is worth it. Lots of delicious lobster in the area. Close to Acadia for a day trip. The house is a bit tired and the only heat comes from a propane fireplace and a space heater, but once we figured out the propane fireplace the house was warm within the hour. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. Property manager responded quickly and was helpful. It would be great if they put some directions and recommendations together to help guests.

Wonderful
Loved the quietness of the property and the dock was fantastic. There's a nice trail about 15 minutes away called pigeon hill reserve that's definitely worth checking out!
