Drop your cares while you enjoy picturesque sunsets from the stately double porches. Observe the graceful orchestration of the assorted waterfowl, or just perch on the pier and dive into a great book!
If activity is your calling, try swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking. A John boat is available for traversing the lake. Contact owner for motorized watercraft rental.
Hike the nearby Forever Wild nature preserve and recreation are or take the 45 minute drive to Dismals Canyon to enjoy hiking and playing in enchanted nature.
When you desire civilization, drive just 10 minutes to Florence, northern Alabama’s hottest get-away for fine dining, entertainment or capture the perfect photo opps at Flo, AL’s sanctioned Graffiti Alley.
Music buffs will want to see where the artist like the Beatles, Stones, Aretha Franklin and more recorded with a tour to Muscle Shoals’ recording studios. We are also the birthplace of Southern Rock and the infamous singing waters. We recommend you watch the documentary.
If you enjoy a round or two of golf you are sure to enjoy the Robert Trent Jones golf course in in Muscle Shoals.

Family reunion

Needed a place to stay with fam in-the area. Tony’s home was awesome and inviting, from kayaking, running the hills, coffee on the deck and sunsets on the lake it was awesome.

Family together at Thanksgiving

We used Shoals Creek Retreat as a central location so our family could be together for Thanksgiving. The place was just what we needed. It is very comfortable, with a relaxing view and atmosphere. We look forward to going back in warmer weather so we can enjoy the water activities.

Friends gathered at the lake

The house was exceptional. It was perfect for 6 friends to gather to fish and watch football. The house was complete with everything we needed and located and tagged for all to find . The most complete house we have ever rented . The fishing dock was also complete with everything one would need to fish . My group caught a 20 lbs catfish , bass and bream from the dock . Tony has done a great job to make this house a wonderful place to stay . I would recommend it to anyone. .

Ladies Weekend

We had a total of 6 women for the weekend. The property was perfect for our gathering! Everything was clean and plenty of good quality towels. There was lots of seating inside and out and we loved the back porch swing bed. We used the kayaks and stand up paddleboard and enjoyed sun and shade on the dock. The sunset from the second floor deck was beautiful. Great property!
