Pleasantly suprised
Had a couple of issues when we first arrived but as soon as i brought them to the attention of the host they were immediately rectified. The cabin smelled great and was very clean and presentable. The 2 recommendations i would make is to 1- get a firmer mattress and get rid of the foam topper. 2- get better wifi. I had no signal the whole time and wifi was never consistent. A 2 hour long movie took about 4 hours to watch...

Neat and Cozy - not very private
Overall we had a good time, and it was pretty clean. We were intending to hike and see sights, and not spend much time at the cabin, so the lack of privacy, and the issues below were not a major concern. I thought the cabin was going to be secluded, with only other cabins around. To our surprise, it was surrounded by RVs. Very close and crammed in. In fact, the space next to us was taken, and it made it difficult to park in front of the cabin, and you could not see around the truck to pull back out. Some of these RVs were permanent - complete with wooden porches and underpinning. Some of the permanent residents had very small children that rode bikes in a dangerous fashion and unattended. They even dropped the bikes where we were supposed to park. Some of the permanent residents clearly do not like the short term campers. They make it obvious when you go to the common areas like the game room (that I did not know about ahead of time, but nice surprise), or the office or laundry room. The internet was spotty. The Netflix could not even run. We had to go outside on our phones to send text messages or make calls, or get internet. I have ATT and my friend has Verizon and both were no good inside, so it was not a carrier issue, but instead just no signal. A cell booster would be a good idea. The fridge had what appeared to be coke stains in it, and the odor was so bad I decided to just keep things in my ice chest. This was problematic, as there was supposed to be ice for sale by the office, but the ice machine did not work. The pool was to be open until dusk, which I assumed meant the sun went down and it was getting dark, but they closed it early - between 5-7 - daily, so we never used it. I wish I had known of these issues prior to choosing the cabin. I might have still stayed, as it was reasonably priced. However, I would have at least considered other places.
