Is stylishly furnished with all the comforts of home, it is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a busy day; watch a movie, enjoy a glass of wine or entertain family or friends in this warm light filled apartment.

The building:

Welcome to The Harrison Modern, we have 4 wonderful apartments to offer in a, well designed, refurbished, Mid-Century, four unit building. For your privacy each unit has a separate entrance, the address is; 1111 – 1117 E. Harrison Street. I have lived in the building for 16 years and the neighborhood for 21, I would be happy to give you a local perspective on sightseeing or dining in the neighborhood during your stay.

The location:

Capitol Hill is one of Seattle's most vibrant neighborhoods, with wonderful stately homes, parks, museums, shopping, restaurants, theaters and other attractions all within a short walk from the property.

We have a fantastic location in the heart of this historic neighborhood, within 3 minutes walk you will find a variety of shopping, restaurants, cafes, and 3 supermarkets

We are on the same street as Seattle University and a 5 minute walk from the Pike/Pine Corridor bars, cafes & nightlife. Downtown Seattle is 1 mile from the building as is the Washington State Trade & Convention Center, and the Hospitals on First Hill. The Pike Place Market and the Seattle Space Needle are also easily accessed either on foot or by the extensive bus network that passes 2 blocks from the building on the eclectic Broadway Shopping street. You will LOVE the location!!

After staying at many Vacation Rental Properties over the past 8 years I am confident you will thoroughly enjoy your stay with us. Within an easy 15 to 20 minute walk of: Downtown Seattle,Convention Center, Pike Place Market, Seattle Aquarium, Seattle Art Museum, Waterfront shops, Seattle Center, Space Needle, Experience Music Project, , Schools: Seattle University, Seattle Central Community College, Cornish College of Arts.

Within a ten minute drive of: The University of Washington, Woodland Park Zoo, Boeing Field and The Flight Museum, Ferries to the Olympic Peninsula, The Ballard Locks, Mariners and Seahawks Stadiums, West Seattle and Alki Beach.

Seatac International Airport, Bellevue, Redmond.

About Ian Petry

I have owned and lived in the Harrison Modern since 1997. I have a passion for architecture and interior design, you will see this in every aspect of the building. Originally born in New Zealand, I have traveled the world and the US extensively, I believe that Seattle is one of the most beautiful cities on the planet. My background is in Tourism Marketing, I worked for the New Zealand Tourism Board in Los Angeles for 8 years before moving to Seattle in 1994. I have a love of travel and new experiences - Whenever I away I always stay at vacation apartments, as you get a real feel for the destination you are visiting.

Seattle is a vibrant city full of amazing sights from world class architecture, vibrant arts scene, to spectacular outdoor activities. Capitol Hill, is the perfect location to explore all Seattle and everything the region has to offer. If you are not traveling outside the city you won't need a car, everything is within an easy walk or a short bus ride. Within 3 short blocks of the building are a number of great restaurants, shops and cafes, 2 supermarkets and 3 wonderful city parks. Capitol Hill is a rich, diverse, neighborhood with multi million mansions and a wonderful farmer's market within blocks of each other. One thing I am sure about... You will love the location.

I have done a lot of traveling and believe that Seattle and the Pacific Northwest is one of the most beautiful, livable, areas in the North America.

Location, Location, Location... Capitol Hill is the most convenient neighborhood to downtown Seattle. from our building it is a lovely 15 minute walk to downtown. The building is super stylish, all the apartments are large and individually furnished in keeping with the mid-century contemporary theme. Comfort, convenience, and style are what you will find when you stay at the Harrison Modern.

Living Inside Art

Harrison Modern is central to all of Seattle by foot, public transportation or Uber, which was our mode. The apartment was impeccably clean, highly maintained and perfect for our family. The two boys shared the pull out sofa. The heart of Capital Hill is a short three block walk through a beautiful neighborhood. We had PERFECT weather during our stay and enjoyed the back deck in morning and evening. While the decor was not the reason we chose the unit it was the kind of design I envision I would hope to have if I lived in it personally. I give it an A+ and Ian responds to emails in light speed..

There is nothing that I can offer as an improvement.....trying to think...nope, nothing.

Great location and deck!

This is a conveniently located property in Capitol Hill. The space is appointed in mid century furniture as is our home so we felt right at home. One of the best conveniences is that there are no keys involved for entry or exit. The personal code you receive makes it very easy to coordinate schedules and activities. The top floor ( up just 13 or 14 steps) has a lovely outside deck which

is a great addition and feels very secluded.

Great place to stay on Capitol Hill

Well equipped, tastefully decorated, clean, and has a very nice, sunny, and somewhat secluded west-facing deck. The owner does a nice job managing this location, which contains at least 4 units, all with off-street parking available for a price. This penthouse is obviously the pick of the litter. The unit is stylish, and entertains several guests comfortably. You get what you pay for here. The only downside is that when the jets are landing south at SeaTac, you're right under the approach corridor. Also, I might suggest an exhaust fan in the bathroom and the addition of at least one chair with an armrest. Otherwise, it's in a terrific location convenient to everything. The kitchen is easy to use and can save you a bundle with a grocery 2 blocks away.

An exceptional living environment with a tranquil outlook in the heart of Capitol

This was a perfect space for relaxing, entertaining, and just being at home in. Facing out towards the city, the apartment stretches along a huge west-facing deck set well back from the street. The afternoon sun floods in to all the rooms along with the cool breeze. The bathroom similarly has a city view that can be enjoyed from the shower! It's hard to imagine a nicer way to be in this vibrant suburban centre.
