Don't miss out on this beautiful waterfront six-bedroom home on the shores of Norris Lake! Here, you'll have a seven-person hot tub, plus spectacular views of the lake and mountains from the decks, as well as a private dock ready for your boat! The dock, which also has gorgeous views, includes two boat slips, a picnic table, and a canopy, with plenty of space to lay out or cool off in the shade, or swim in the cove.

This beautiful home is in a scenic cove of Norris Lake. You can swim in the cove from the home’s private dock, or spend the day boating or fishing. There are kayaks for guest use at the dock as well (please bring and wear lifejackets). Since it is a lakefront property, you can also walk back to the house (via the ~100 steps), where you can relax and enjoy the home’s scenic covered decks, porch swings, rocking chairs, hot tub, six bedrooms, and air-conditioning. There's a Scotsman commercial ice machine in the rec room, with bags to load up your coolers!

This three-level home has six nicely decorated bedrooms. On the main floor, there is a large primary bedroom that offers a king-size bed, glass doors that access the upper deck overlooking the lake, and a jetted bathtub in the full bathroom. On the upper floor, there are two bedrooms, each having a queen bed and twin bed. On the walkout basement level, there are three bedrooms (including a bunk room). The basement level also has a rec room that walks out to the lower deck and hot tub, with views out to the lake. Each of the three floors has a full bathroom, plus there is also a half bathroom on the main floor. There is a large laundry room in the basement as well.

In addition to the primary bedroom, the main floor has a fully stocked kitchen, dining area, and great room. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances that include a French-door refrigerator, a five-eye gas range, a dishwasher, a microwave, and both a standard coffee pot and a Keurig machine. The kitchen table will seat eight, the kitchen island will accommodate another three, and there's a kitchen buffet table with stools. Off the kitchen, the outdoor dining tables on the upper deck will seat 12. A Weber gas grill is on the lower deck ready to grill up your favorites! There are six TVs throughout the house, including a TV in most of the six bedrooms.

Heartland House is easy to get to and near the amenities you need. It’s only 1.5 miles and three turns to get to the main road (Route 33)--so it's only a short drive to a gas station, a TVA boat launch, and Cedar Grove Marina (which is just one cove over by boat)! Boat and jet ski rentals are available at Cedar Grove Marina and Beach Island Marina. For the boaters, Black Fox Jumping Bridge is only a short ride away by boat (lake marker 29). A Walmart, grocery stores, and restaurants are nearby in the town of New Tazewell. The Winery at Seven Springs Farm is about 13 miles away, and the panoramic Woodlake Golf Course, Lodge, and Steakhouse is also 13 miles away. The beautiful Cumberland Gap National Park area is about 24 miles north, with hiking, summer cave tours, and free admission to the park. If you want a visit to the city, Knoxville and the University of Tennessee are only a bit further. This peaceful side of the lake is less developed and not as crowded compared to other parts of the lake! From the north, it's an easy drive from the Corbin exit on I-75 via the four-lane US 25.

The fun doesn’t have to stop in the off-season or during cooler weather. Enjoy the relaxing lake and mountain views from the hot tub, or take in the foliage and a good book from the porch swings, rocking chairs, or firepit area. On a cold day, cozy up to the fireplace, watch the lake from the great room windows, and play some of the games and puzzles that the house is stocked with. You can also hike in the nearby Cumberland Gap area, play golf at the Woodlake golf course/steakhouse, take a guided fishing tour from Woodlake, visit the Winery at Seven Springs Farm, or go to Knoxville and a University of Tennessee football game. The possibilities are endless. This is a great home for multi-generational family vacations all year round!

Great Location on Water
The home is close to highway 33 and it's a quick boat cruise over to Cedar Grove or Straight Creek marinas. We swam off the dock many times and the covered picnic table was awesome. Inside the home was VERY clean, kitchen well-provisioned and the ice maker in the garage was really handy. The outdoor seating was great for our crew of 8. The hot tub was clean. I would recommend packing extra dish towels (two provided), hair dryers (none provided), cooking oil and all food seasonings in addition to your other provisions. The rental description warns about 100 stair steps from the house to the dock and they're no joke - even if you're athletic! The driveway is also steep. There is only one covered boat slip and that's not available to use. So, plan to tie up to the side of one of the docks and be prepared for rain! We were really disappointed about the lack of accommodation from Vacasa in terms of our request for an early check-in. The original booking agent said while 4 p.m. was standard, we could check-in at 9 a.m. or as late as noon, since the house wasn't rented the week prior. He said I would get an email/text 48 hours prior to check-in to notify us. I didn't get any of these notifications, so I called on arrival day and the new agent said she had no ability to see if the home was available/clean prior to 4 p.m. She also didn't have a manager that I could speak with and no way to contact the cleaners. She said we would get a text/email from the cleaning crew and that was the ONLY way to know when we could get in the home. I didn't get a text or email until noon saying the house would be ready at 4 p.m. We had guests arrive at noon with food sitting in coolers and it was an empty/clean house. It seems like a very easy fix and accommodation that could have been made. That's only reason for 4 stars.

Disliked: Check-in, communication
Management company was unaccommodating.
The house has beautiful views, is decorated nicely, the kitchen is well stocked, the hot tub is well maintained and it has great sleeping accommodations. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t a yard for the kids to play (steep yard leading to the lake), the walk down to the dock is very steep and the exterior wasn’t well maintained. There were so many spider webs on the deck it seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. When the management company reached out to us right after check in I told them about the deck and they said someone would be out to clean, but no one ever showed up and communication was very difficult. I also asked about a nearby marina to rent a boat and was told to google it….wow was all I could think. The fees on this rental are sky high, (the fees were equal to the nightly stay rate, so double the nightly fee to truly know the total for your stay) so I expected better communication and guidance. We also asked for a slightly earlier check in and check out (it is a lengthy check out process). When I put in these requests and asked questions it took days for an answer and I had to send requests twice and of course both requests were denied. I liked the house but will never rent from a Vacasa run property again.
