About Jack Turbiville
I am an American, retired here. Previously I lived in Brussels, Belgium serving as European economic representative for the State of Georgia. I decided to live in the Avignon region, because of the culture, history, cuisine, climate and the general lifestyle. It's a very special area.
Jack Turbiville purchased this Apartment in 2009
Why Jack Turbiville chose Avignon City Centre
I chose to buy this property, together with a partner, because it seemed a good investment, a very interesting situation, and would give me the opportunity to connect with visitors who are interested in this region.
What makes this Apartment unique
The situation is excellent for visitors to Avignon because it is centrally located, within walking distance to all attractions of the city. At ground level, the access is easy, and the large terrace is a rare advantage for an apartment in central city. Avignon is a MAJOR RAIL CENTER, with regional trains going in several directions, and TGV (fast train) service to major cities (non-stop to Paris in 2 hours 40 minutes). The central station is about 15-20 minute walk from this apartment. The TGV station is outside of town, 15 minutes by taxi, or by shuttle train, frequent service. There is also excellent bus service to all interesting towns in the region; the bus station is next to the central train station. During the summer season, direct EUROSTAR train service from LONDON to Avignon.

Very pleasant apartment in the heart of Avignon
We really enjoyed this pleasant apartment with private patio. We walked all over Avignon as it was walking distance to everything. Very quiet at night. Close to Place de Pie and Les Halles and lots of good restaurants. Owner was very helpful with recommendations about our stay. Great value for the price.
I was especially glad to have these guests as tenants. They were interested in everything and I was glad to meet them.
Avignon 7 to 13 September 2019
We really liked this property. It was perfect for our stay in Avignon, so nice, and so well located in the town centre. We would love to come back again as soon as possible.
Charming Stay In Avignon
I stayed 11 nights in this apartment and I loved every little bit of it. The apartment was really well set up, and was incredibly quiet. The occasional sound of the church bells as well as the decoration and character of the apartment, meant that I always felt like I was in Provence. The terrace made the apartment feel spacious.
Jack was a fantastic host and he explained everything to me very carefully and was patient with all questions. Thank you Jack!
I would return in a heartbeat, and am very grateful for my stay.
Nice to come home to
Lovely ambiance, exceptionally clean and homey. Lots of amenities, special care from housekeeper with warm nature and high standards.
Jack was the ideal host for us. He was there to help us get settled in and then let us carry on.
The equipment was quite adequate for what we required and we knew that Jack was available, if needed. The apartment is quiet whilst being very central, with no need of a car. The apartment is very clean with plenty of hot water
Avignon Intramuros
We enjoyed our stay in the old city center with easy access to shops, restaurants, and museums. The apartment itself was as shown on the photos. We appreciated finding all the necessary products for the kitchen appliances and in the bathroom. However we were disappointed by missing light bulbs and the moldy shower curtain in the bathroom, and the difficulty with the locks on the front glass door and the gate to the small garden area.
