Overnight in Kitty Hawk

Very brief stay. We checked in, had dinner out, spent the night and moved on. The accommodations were very comfortable and we would stay again if in the area.

Musty

It was clammy, and musty. The automatic aerosol fragrance dispenser sitting on top of the refrigerator did not help. We put it outdoors. You've done a good job with the place. It is very nice. You probably remember I had trouble finding the bathroom linens. I did see the Zip-up bag in the bedroom dresser, but I had assumed they were sheets for the inflatable mattress. Maybe you should leave those linens in the kitchen, or bathroom...

OBX OR BUST

Brief but lovely stay. Very Private but just minutes from everything. Thoughtfully appointed and CLEAN! Downstairs unit but barely heard the upstairs renters. Great for couples looking for a quick getaway. Owner was very responsive.

Unpleasant

Pictures weren’t accurate. There are several cars parked at the property. A truck was parked right in front of our bedroom slider. Their is a jacuzzi squeezed into kitchen. Bathroom is extremely small. The septic tank was full and came up in shower when toilet flushed. So We had to leave. Host did not give us a full refund for the two days we had to find another spot. Host stated VRBO limits the amount that can be refunded. VRBO keeps their fees. How do you have a septic tank not maintained for your guests?
