The top questions we get:

Click here to read a comprehensive list of FAQs

1.  How do we get to the island...We are here to arrange that.  There is a walk on ferry private to the island as well as private boat rides.  (There is an additional fee for transportation ranging from $2-$20/person each way depending on age and mode selected)  WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING THE ISLAND FERRY!!!
2. Do I need to bring all of my food...There are no stores on the island.  We, however, provide all of the spices and condiments you could need as well as pantry staples such as coffee, sugar and flour.   Under "MAP" you will find a list of stores really close by the Port where you'll catch your ride over.
3. How do I get around on the island...HANK THE TANK, our old GREEN Tahoe, is available for you to get around.  We just need you to complete the vehicle usage waiver BEFORE arriving.

I promise, it's worth the effort to get here and it's really not as hard as it may seem. We are always willing to chat more and answer your questions.

Great spot to relax
Our family loved Hat Island and Puget Sound Beacon. The house was comfortable and offered beautiful Puget Sound views. Even saw some whales at the marina one night! It requires a lot of coordination to get to this location and communication was not always great, but everything worked out in the end.

Perfect view, perfect stay!
We enjoyed our stay at the Puget Sound Beacon so much!! It has awesome views of the Sound. We were able to spot half a dozen whales right from the living room in the few days we stayed there! We also had a great time walking all around the island at low tide. So beautiful! It's the perfect place to chill and relax. We hope to be back soon!

This property is a dream come true for two brothers (Rob & Michael) and their wives (Colleen & Lori). Rob and Colleen live in WA and Michael and Lori live in TX but this joint venture is allowing them to spend more time together in a place they all love. They are so excited to share their home with you. They hope you make memories that will last forever and you will want to come back again and again.

Why they chose this property

Puget Sound Beacon is our beautiful vacation home we are offering to you for an opportunity to unplug, reconnect with loved ones, and recharge. It is beautifully furnished and fully equipped for you to have a wonderful stay.

Let me tell you a bit about our home:

We offer 4 bedrooms 2 full bathrooms and a powder bath. The main bedroom and bath is on the top level with sweeping views of the Puget Sound and Mt Pitchuck. We are on the sunrise side of the island so you can take in a gorgeous sunrise without ever leaving your bed. The main bedroom is really large. It has a desk for working (if you need to do that), writing, journaling, painting or anything your heart desires all while looking out onto the magnificent water views. It has 2 large closets as well as a double dresser for plenty of storage. There is also lots of room for littles to make pallets on the floor.

Two secondary bedrooms are located on the main floor along with the kitchen, laundry and living room. These bedrooms have a nice bathroom to share. One room has a queen size bed and the other has 2 twins. They both have large closets. All of our beds have brand new, amazingly comfortable mattresses.

The final bedroom is on the lower level with the game room, bar, LARGE tv and powder bath. The bunkroom is outfitted with 2 custom built queen size bunks. They were made to give the bottom bunks ample headroom for adults to be able to comfortably use. There is a closet nook with lots of wall hooks for your clothes and lots of floor space for your suitcases!

The kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance you could possibly need as well as staples such as coffee, sugar, flour, all of your spices and a few pantry items in the event you forgot something.

What makes this property unique

Our home is located on an exclusive little island named Hat off of the coast of Everett, WA offering pristine unspoiled beauty, Cascade mountain (Mt Pilchuck) and ocean views, abundant wildlife including eagles, seals, whales, 200 kinds of birds and more bunnies than you can count.

The private island is boat access only and there is no commercialization on the island to spoil the beauty of nature. Pack your bags, grab your groceries and head over to a unique, island adventure vacation! We will help you with all of the travel arrangements to and from the island...
