About this property

Boone area Cabin with Hot Tub. Pet friendly !

Relax with the whole family at our peaceful, secluded cabin. Located only 15 minutes from Boone and ASU, 20 miles from Banner Elk and 30 miles from Blowing Rock, our cabin is centrally located to everything you need for a relaxing vacation.

Although secluded and private, our cabin has all the comforts of home including fast Wifi, a smart TV and a fully stocked kitchen. A couple of nights on the deck soaking in the hot tub and you'll be hooked for years to come! Read on...

IMPORTANT: The cabin does not have A/C. Because it is located over 4300 feet above sea level, the temperatures are rarely above the 70's even in the warmest months of the year. Nights are always nice and cool!

4 wheel drive is recommended during all months but REQUIRED during winter months. The road to the cabin is somewhat steep and has some sharp curves for the last 1.5 miles. Snow removal can be unpredictable.

NOTE: Although the cabin is private and in a very rural area, there are other houses within view including a property next door. It is not very close, but still exists. It is a very quiet and peaceful area.

LIVING ROOM AND KITCHEN

The living room and kitchen provide an inviting, warm space for gathering and preparing meals. The living room features brand new couches, a gas fireplace and a smart TV with a DVD player. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the appliances and utensils required to prepare just about any meal. There is a good sized dining table as well.

BEDROOMS / BATHROOMS

The downstairs bedroom features 2 brand new twin beds and has access directly to the downstairs full bath. This full bath has a tub/shower combo. The bedroom also has a ceiling fan.

The upstairs bedroom features a new Queen sized bed and has direct access to the upstairs full bath. This full bath has a tub / shower combo as well. The bedroom also has a TV, DVD player and a desk / workspace. This is the larger bedroom in the house. It also has a ceiling fan.

The loft area at the top of the stairs features 2 new twin beds. There is a ceiling fan in this room and access to the upstairs full bath. NOTE: This is not an enclosed bedroom. It has open access to the stairs and therefore has limited privacy.

OUTSIDE

The large back porch features a large hot tub that provides plenty of heat even in the coldest temperatures. There are several rocking chairs and we have several hooks for the supplied hot tub towels. The views off the back porch are stunning!

The front porch has rocking chairs and a small table.

Pets are welcome and we have a good size dog pen and a doghouse if you need to leave your pet outside for a while without worrying about it running away.

There is a large fire-pit with chairs. Wood is NOT supplied but is readily available in the area.

During your stay you will have access to the entire property.

This is a fairly remote location but there are other houses in the area. The road to the cabin is somewhat steep and is not paved. 4 Wheel drive is recommended all year and required in winter months.

Your own car is a necessity.,

A security camera covers the outside driveway area.

Perfect weekend get-away
The house, location and host exceeded every expectation for our group of 5 adults and 2 dogs. Our host was always quick to respond and accommodating before and during our stay. The house was incredibly clean upon arrival and more spacious than the photos suggested. The kitchen was well equipped for us to cook most meals during our stay, the hot-tub large and clean, the living and bed rooms had comfortable furniture and were cozy - just like you want it in the mountains. The front and back porch were great for corralling our dogs when needed and offered some terrific sunset views. The house was ~25minute drive to downtown Boone and ~30minutes to Banner Elk - both of which had great breweries/wineries/restaurants/shops to explore. We also hiked Elk Knob State Park which was just ~10 minutes drive from the house and offered great trails (1.9miles to summit). Be mindful that the last ~1.5miles leading to the house have very windy roads and would encourage 4WD during the winter months. 10/10 stay - will be coming back!

Great Cabin
We had a great experience with this cabin. It was just the right size for two couples and was extremely well-appointed for cooking and general needs. It was overall just very thoughtful and welcoming. We did not bring a dog, but appreciated how clean everything was for being a dog-friendly cabin. Speaking of clean, I generally avoid hot tubs at rentals, but this one was so well-maintained that we had to use it. The neighborhood dogs were a lot fun as well. Would absolutely stay here again.
