About this property

The Lodge is a 6,000 sq ft, 6 bedrooms/4.5 bath, newly renovated cabin that's nestled in between a vast amount of trees and boulders. As you enter into this cabin, you’re greeted with large windows showing the woods and Strawberry creek. Explore the grounds of a 12 acre property, with an abundant amount of history and remarkable views. Lounge on one of the 9 outdoor seating areas amongst the trees. Bring back your inner kid by enjoying the maze-like layout of the cabin. Welcome!

UNAUTHORIZED EVENTS OF ANY SIZE ON ANY AREA OF THE PROPERTY, SUCH AS WEDDINGS, ELOPEMENTS, RETREATS AND PARTIES WILL RESULT IN A LARGE FINE AND A CLAIM WILL BE OPENED.

6 full bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, it's perfect for a group's getaway. The fully functioning kitchen is stocked and ready for your cooking needs. The dining room sits 14 people next to a beautiful fireplace. Two living rooms throughout the cabin! Spend some time walking around the trails on the property and enjoying the beautiful scenery that Idyllwild has to offer.

Check in: I will send you a check-in guide the morning of when your stay begins - this will be sent through the AirBnb app in our message thread. All information, parking, lockbox, etc., will be included.

Check Out- Please try to leave the cabin the way you first found it. Check out instructions can be found in the house manual left inside of the cabin.

Regarding Dogs: we do ask for an extra cleaning fee PER dog for each stay. Each dog must be approved and paid for before check in. Please ask us about the fee before booking to ensure we're all on the same page. An unauthorized pet will result in a fee. Unfortunately, we do not allow cats.

There is little cell reception on the property based on the phone carrier that you have. Upon leaving the property at the 243, there is full cell service. DISLCAIMER: Wifi is meant for LOW streaming data, such as texting.

Also, we have daily housekeeping & breakfast preparation available at an additional cost. Please give us adequate notice if you’re interested in these accommodations so we can make arrangements and discuss pricing.

Rustic Weekend

This home has a beautiful rustic charm that I adored nestled in the woods amongst large pines and nature. With a group of 14 of us, couples and friends I do have a few suggestions and observations about the property. The only large room to gather was the dining room with the very long table which takes up the whole room and cannot be moved according to the signs posted warning a fine if any furniture was moved. The set up is awkward with the couches and chairs 20 plus feet apart, thus unless you want to sit at the dining area all evening there is no large area just to hang out and visit. My suggestion is that that the couches and leather chairs are more of a focal point around the fireplace and the dining table put on one of the ends of the room. Also the outdoor chairs and cushions were ripped or broken apart and need to be cleaned or replaced as a good clean up of the landscaping as well. We stayed in July and the bedrooms and kitchen were really hot as there is no air conditioning units. Perhaps some small units can be installed for the hottest areas. Overall an enjoyable stay but the outdoor areas and indoor issues above need some TLC and this home would go from a 7.5 to a 10 !!!!!! We stay in Idlewild every summer from the Coachella Valley and would definitely consider this property again if the updates are made :)

A fantastic place for family reunion or friends hangout

A few of my friend's families just spent the July 4th long weekend here together with us. Although already 90 years old, the property was well maintained and clean. There are enough spaces for everyone. We let the kids take over the smaller living room with TV so we can enjoy some relaxing time in the large living room with picturesque furniture setting and windows. You can definitely feel the history but still enjoy the relaxation here. The kitchen was fully stocked and well equipped. We especially appreciate the freshly ground coffee provided by the host. Nothing beats a cup of freshly brewed coffee in the morning, while sitting among the pine trees and oaks, accompanied by singing birds. The property is located in a very quiet neighborhood yet still close to the town center. We actually quite enjoyed walking to the town instead of driving. One last thing to mention, the property is quite big and gives first time visitors the feeling of exploring a maze. So make sure you have checked out all the rooms before you decide which bedroom you may prefer to wake up in.
