Stowe Mountain Lodge is at the base of Stowe Mountain Resort, in the Town of Stowe, Vermont. We have a spacious ONE BEDROOM condominium. Ours is one of the few true one bedroom units available outside of the hotel rental program. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room that will acomodate two guests; we also have a Aero mattress that will accommodate a child. We offer our unit at a significant discount because you will rent directly from the owner and not the developer rental pool. You have access to all lodge and resort amenities. You have access to all amenities and features of Stowe Mountain Lodge. Our unit is in the main building (North Tower) and is convenient to the lobby, restaurants and ski valet.

Stowe Mountain Lodge Unit 227

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Stowe Mountain Lodge (Unit 227) for a week in July and had a wonderful stay. The property itself is spectacular with a staff that is professional and courteous. The unit was above our expectations- clean and stocked with every possibly item we could need- including an espresso machine- and the bedding was wonderfully soft and luxurious... so much so that I came home and ordered the same set. What impressed us most, however, was how responsive the owner was when we had a small issue. Having never rented through VRBO before we were a bit nervous about how issues would be resolved should one arise. The owner Patrick could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We will without a doubt request Patrick's unit 227 if and when we are in Stowe again.

cozy condo

  • 4 of 5

Our family (2 adults, 2 kids; 6 and 3 years of age) stayed here for 5 nights in March for our spring break. It is a clean quiet one bedroom condo (door separates bedroom to living area). There is a nice shared ante-room adjoining another unit where you can store and hang your coats, and ski pants. This was tremendously helpful since there was not a lot of room in the unit to store this gear. It does involve a bit of trust among the other person sharing the other unit as it is a shared space. Unlike other one-bedroom condo-like arrangements we have stayed in there is not dual access to the bathroom through the bedroom and the living room. Instead the bathroom (generously sized with both a shower and tub) is accessed through the living area. Since we travel with young kids who need to go to bed early this was really the only downside of the unit; required some late-night tip-toeing. The kitchen was small but sufficient size to cook breakfast and enjoy coffee each morning. There is no dining area in the unit which is also something we missed and kept us from eating other meals in the unit. There are plenty of good and reasonably priced dining options in Stowe however that all were very kid friendly and it was nice to get off the property once a day to venture out. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were so very soft and of great quality. The pull out sofa was also very nice and outfitted with the same high-quality sheets and pillows. There are plenty of towels and soaps (for dishes, hands, body and hair) available so you do not have to bring your own. The hotel kindly provided coffee filters to us since the unit was out. We all enjoyed the heated outdoor pool and hot tubs. The main common area was also cozy with a big fire and generous seating. We actually ordered in and ate there with another family one night and the kids had a blast running around among the other families! Overall a great (first) visit to Stowe, our only complaint was the lack hooks and storage options to hang things in the unit (both hallway or bathroom) and the lack of snow.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your thoughtful review. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry that you were not able to find adequate places to hang your gear. We typically leave our ski jackets and gear in the hallway and have not had any issues leaving items there. There is also a closet in the living room that should accommodate jackets and coats. We may add some coat hooks in the entrance to provide additional storage.

First Class Resort

  • 3 of 5

This trip was just my wife and I to see Stowe. Found out quickly there is really nothing there. Great resort and the skiing must be first class. The unit we stayed in was a jr suite. It was very nice and clean, big bathroom and bedroom but the kitchenette area was minimal and the living room is really small for my taste. The space is nice but not for a crowd. Couch sleeper was not comfortable enough to sleep on. I had a bad cough and didn't want to keep her up so just slept on the couch. The view was just ok. Everything is first class at the resort but be prepared to pay. Owners are very responsive and easy to work with.

Owner's Response: I am disappointed that your stay at my condominium did not meet your expectations, and that my efforts to make this right for you were declined. The size, features and configuration of the unit are described in detail on the HomeAway/VRBO listing, and were set forth in the email I sent to you prior to your renting my condominium. It is unfortunate that you were not feeling well and elected to sleep on the pull out couch, not in the king bed. We hope that you will visit us again.

Wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first rental through [Homeaway], and we cannot recommend this unit highly enough!

The Stowe Mountain Lodge is a world-class hotel, in an incredible location, and with wonderful service and amenities. We found that this unit was particularly well-located within the Lodge, because it is close to the main lobby, restaurants, spa, and coffee shop, while also being situated in such a way that you can quickly access the pool and hot tub without having to trek through the lobby area with wet feet, towels, etc.

As for the unit itself, it has a functional and clean kitchenette with stovetop, fridge, dishwasher, and coffeemaker, as well as all of the plates/glasses/utensils that you might need. The bathroom is large, luxurious, and clean. The living room has a cozy gas fireplace, a large flat-screen TV, and a comfortable sleeper couch. The king-size bed is comfortable (especially the sheets and pillows), and allows for a beautiful view of the sun rising over the mountain, if you are inclined to wake up early, as we are (there are blackout shades if you’d prefer to sleep).

Overall, this was a clean, comfortable, and luxurious base to use as we explored Stowe and Northern Vermont. A daily highlight of our trip was swimming in the heated pool and hot tub to rest our weary bones after a long, strenuous hike!

Wonderful Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a relaxing extended weekend in Stowe. The unit was in excellent condition and was well-stocked. After unsuccessfully searching for the famous Heady Topper IPA on our ride up, we were pleasantly surprised to find a four-pack in the refrigerator upon our arrival. The unit features a great view of the mountains to the east – we were able to sit on the balcony and enjoy the sunrise, and watch a full moon rise over the mountains. The unit owner provides a booklet which features information on the unit, amenities at the lodge, and suggestions for dining and entertainment in the Stowe area – we found this to be very useful.

The lodge and Stowe itself were beautiful – we booked treatments at the spa, relaxed in the pool and hot tub, and went on the new zip-line down the mountain.

We would certainly rent this unit again – hopefully soon!
