Beautiful Farmhouse in the Heart of Napa Valley. Pool and Hot Tub

Bedrooms 4
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 2 - 4 nights

About the property

4 bedrooms 3 bathrooms. Sleeps 8

Our property is a peaceful 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom farmhouse and 1 bedroom, 1 bath cottage with a pool and hot tub, located in the heart of the Napa Valley. Just minutes to St. Helena and Calistoga, our neighbors include Calistoga Ranch, Frank Family Vineyards, Rombauer and Duckhorn Vineyards .

We are tucked just off of the Silverado Trail into an oak grove on the edge of the vineyards. From the farmhouse and property, there are stunning views of the the vineyards and valley.

Our property has a number of lawns, decks, patios, a pool, hot tub, hammock, outdoor fireplace and dining areas, BBQ's, trampoline and a ping pong table.

We updated the original Farmhouse and Arrowhead Cottage in 2013. Myra Hoefer designed the beautiful, light-filled interiors. We have included every detail for our guests' comfort; luxury Frette linens, down comforters, newly tiled bathrooms,TV's, wifi, BBQ's, and plush, new upholstered furniture.

The Farmhouse is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage with small kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, dining table, living area and french doors that open onto a private patio and lawn. The farmhouse has stunning views of the vineyards, valley and western hills from your living room, bedrooms and outdoor space. The front of the farmhouse has a lawn, BBQ, large outdoor dining table and a grouping of adirondak chairs. Watch the sun set with a glass of wine or dine alfresco with your loved ones. Truly beautiful and quintessentially farmhouse!

The first floor of the Farmhouse has the kitchen, dining table, living area with wood-burning fireplace and one queen bedroom and bathroom with shower. This bedroom has french doors that open onto the charming patio and lawn area with vineyard and valley views. A small desk and newly upholstered, large and comfy window seat also provides the perfect place to relax and enjoy the views from your bedroom. The second bathroom with tub/shower is also on this level, next to the stairs that lead the the two upstairs bedrooms.

The upstairs of the Farmhouse is connected to the downstairs, but also has it's own private entrance and two bedrooms. This charming upstairs suite has one queen bedroom and one bedroom with two twin beds and vineyard, garden and valley views from both rooms. The beds are furnished with fluffy down comforters and luxury Frette and Anichini bedding. There is a desk area for your convenience, wifi, a hospitality armoir with a mini-refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and extras that you might need during your stay. These two bedrooms share a bathroom at the foot of the stairs on the first level.

The Arrowhead Cottage is a one bedroom stand alone studio, with it's own private entrance and bathroom, and is separate, but close to the Farmhouse. It is newly renovated and appointed with new furniture, down comforters, Frette linens, large flat-screen TV, wifi, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The French doors open onto your own patio and lawn with dining table and chairs, cushioned lounge chairs and deep-seating sofa and armchairs surrounding a wood-burning outdoor fireplace that is original to the property.

The large bathroom has been newly tiled, with new fixtures and fluffy white towels.

Our property has a beautiful, serene pool and hot tub, surrounded by decks, lawns, a large meadow and acres of oak studded hills. Relax under the shade of the apple tree or float in the pool and watch the pine trees sway. There is a trampoline and ping-pong table for the young and young at heart.

The caretaker, Bob (Jennifer's father) lives in a house on the property, located near the pool. He is a wonderful source for history and interesting info about he valley and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

There are many distinct outdoor spaces to enjoy on our property. You will never feel crowded and will always be able to find a spot to relax, dine and enjoy.

We are literally surrounded by vineyards and wineries, from small family operations to well known Napa Valley icons: Duckhorn Vineyards, Rombauer, Frank Family Vineyards and many more. Taste your way around the valley and then head back for a nap in the hammock and a dip in the pool!

Amazing eating abounds in the Napa Valley, and you'll be right in the center of it, whether it be dinner at the French Laundry or Sam's Social Club, Solbar, Archetype, Farmstead, brunch at Meadowood or late night eating at Bistro Jeanty.

Of course, no wine country getaway is complete with out a mud baths, massage, or spa experience. There are fantastic spas within minutes of our home; Calistoga Ranch is just around the corner, enjoy the spa and mineral pools at Indian Springs and Solage, or cozy up in a couple's massage at Lavender Hill.

Our property is a great place to discover the natural beauty of the Valley. Bring your bikes up and tour around, rock climb in the Palisades, or hike to the natural hot springs. Ask my dad about the birds in the area and he will give you a special look in his spotting scope and tell you about the special feeders we have on the property to attract many different types of local birds. We have even been designated a Certified Wildlife Habitat, thanks to my dad!

Whether you're visiting the Napa Valley for the first time or you're practically a local, you'll be at home here. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any additional questions.

Lovely place

  • 4 of 5

Lovely cottage and farmhouse set in beautifully manicured gardens in a terrific location. Very quaint and well stocked.

If it matters - there is no dishwasher which didn't bother the three of us, but might if you're a large group. Also, the bathrooms are VERY small and unheated which might be a problem if you're here in winter.

Hosts are lovely including Bob who lives on site but stays out of the way.

Would rent again for sure.

Fun, slightly rustic farmhouse in lovely setting

  • 5 of 5

Scarlett's farmhouse was a fabulous retreat for our group of eight, including four elderly travelers and two children. The beds were amazing, with high quality linens and tons of pillows. Nice views onto a small vineyard amid a tranquil yard with a fountain and outdoor fireplace. The trampoline and nicely maintained hot tub were an added bonus. It was too cold for us to use the unheated pool, but it looked nice. We felt very at home! Anyone who needs to get up at night to use the loo should know that there are two bedrooms on the top floor, atop a pretty steep staircase, but no bathroom on that floor. Having to traipse down the perilous stairs at night was too much for our older travelers and we had to do some switcher-oos on the rooms. That wasn't ideal. Wifi was spotty and there was no AT&T or data reception, though our guests with Verizon got a few bars. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Welcome retreat between wine tastings to relax

  • 5 of 5

We spent most of our three day visit out and about, but relished the fact that we would be coming back to Scarlett's farmhouse each night. Our group of 5 had ample space between the two houses. We just needed to negotiate who would be ok trekking downstairs in the middle of the night to use a bathroom. The bed sheets were heaven. The old easy to work fireplace stove and pristine hot tub were welcome retreats after long days of tastings. Baskets of blankets were perfect encouragements to sit outside to see the stars too. Our heater in Arrowhead was a little noisy, but probably only noticeable because everything else was so quiet. Bathrooms were prepped like a elegant hotel. Wifi and cell service were not stellar, but that is a Napa issue not the property. The kitchen while compact was clean and up to date. Our breakfasts were more or less eaten on the go, but there were so many beautiful views and outdoor spots one could enjoy a cup of morning coffee to mention. We went for jogs along the bike path on Silverado. Great wineries to visit nearby and two towns are only a few minutes to drive to down the road. Bob was very helpful, friendly and polite. I would happily stay here again with a group, with our older kiddos or for a couple's weekend.

Wonderful stay!

  • 4 of 5

The property is beautiful! Jennifer and Bob are wonderful and very helpful! We had a larger group and the only downside was the size of the house was a bit small for us! A group of 4-6 would be better (we had 8). Very quaint, pretty house, great location, very accommodating!! Would definitely stay there again!

Charming Spot

  • 5 of 5

I loved this beautiful place! Quaint , well maintained quarters with beautiful & cozy feel. Close to tons of wineries and perfect location between St. Helena's and Calistoga. Vineyards everywhere. The caretaker Bob is genuine and helpful. Perfect for a family or 4 couples. Just lovely, rural setting. Great restaurants in close little towns.
