About Maureen Betz

We moved from Ohio to Littleton, Co 24 years ago & bought our 1st place in Grand Lake 20 years ago. We have 3 boys: twins that are 21 years old & an 15 year old. When they were younger they loved to go to the cabin & catch frogs, butterflies, grasshoppers, play on the swingset, enjoy the wildflower or just hang out on one of the big rocks to have a picnic.

Maureen Betz purchased this cabin in 2000

Why Maureen Betz chose Rocky Mountain National Park

We love the quiet town of Grand Lake we enjoy boating on the 3 large lakes & hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. We often have picnics by one of the lakes & our boys love to just hang outside & see the wildlife.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We came with very high expectations & have not been disappointed! Gorgeous cabin in a stunning location - I dont think we have ever been anywhere so relaxing. We went hiking, mountain biking, rented a boat on Grand Lake & went go-karting. Our teenagers liked the ping pong & x-box. We would come back again anytime!

What a great vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is simply stunning. The inside, the outside, and the view. Took my 2 young children and husband for a much needed vacation and this was the best place I could've possibly chosen. There was so much snow! We even made a great snowman. Maureen did not skimp on anything in her cabin, from her cook-ware, to her pillows and blankets, everything was better than we had expected. We did not want to leave! We will be back for sure!

Incredible view, wonderfully isolated!

  • 5 of 5

We had a peaceful winter weekend at this cabin - it was like staying in a Winter Wonderland! The view of the lake and Shadow Mountain is incredible from this location! We went snowshoeing on the property, sledding down the driveway and hot tub at night. It was very helpful that baby gear was available (pack-n-play, high chair) as we had our 5/mo old with us, and the game rooms downstairs proved to be quite entertaining for the guys! If the property is available again next year, we will definitely book another trip!

Beautiful cabin, Amazing view!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin and property were exactly what we were hoping for! Lots of extras available for use including snowshoes and sleds. There are neighbors very close by, but you can't see them or the road from the cabin so you have a feeling of complete privacy and seclusion. The view from the cabin is stunning!!! We had an issue getting stuck in the driveway on our last day because of repeated snowfalls over the previous 5 days, however Maureen was very responsive and the driveway was plowed before we left the next morning at 5:30am. Loved the area and would definitely stay here again!

What an amazing cabin

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely place.. my wife and I spent a nice time at this cabin.. The place is very well taken care of, the beds are very comfortable and we had lots of fun between the hot tub, sledding on snow, and the grill. There is lots of privacy in this place with no immediate nearby neighbors which we liked.

The owners were very nice and let us check in early on the day of our arrival and emailed us detailed instructions on accessing the property and what is provided for us vs what we should bring, I thought the information/instruction they provided was very useful.

Highly recommended.

Great Holiday Adventure

  • 5 of 5

Spent the Christmas and New Year's holidays with my brother and his family at the cabin and were immediately in awe of the property. The snowcapped mountain views from the property were amazing. The morning sunrises were absolutely spectacular. There were a few days where we witnessed a couple of moose walking around the property with fresh tracks in 2+ ft. of snow.

The cabin itself was incredible. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. The owner's description of the cabin is pretty much spot-on.

The surrounding area of Grand Lake down through Granby and Winter Park is incredible. We visited only a couple of restaurants as we cooked most of our own meals. There are plenty of accesses to ski, tubing, sledding, and snowmobiling nearly everywhere you turn. I highly recommend On-The-Trail snowmobile rentals.

Overall, this was a great vacation and would love to be able to do this again.
