About the Owner

We moved from Ohio to Littleton, Co 22 years ago & bought our 1st place in Grand Lake 20 years ago. We have 3 boys: twins that are 19 years old & an 15 year old. When they were younger they loved to go to the cabin & catch frogs, butterflies, grasshoppers, play on the swingset, enjoy the wildflower or just hang out on one of the big rocks to have a picnic.

We came with very high expectations & have not been disappointed! Gorgeous cabin in a stunning location - I dont think we have ever been anywhere so relaxing. We went hiking, mountain biking, rented a boat on Grand Lake & went go-karting. Our teenagers liked the ping pong & x-box. We would come back again anytime!

Most amazing getaway ever!

  • 5 of 5

The weather was perfect, the cabin was perfect, the view was breathtaking! It was the best vacation ive ever had. You wont regret choosing to stay here. Everything works like a charm in the cabin and the play room kept the toddlers quite entertained. Sitting in the hot tub and on the deck watching stars was unreal. I plan on returning as soon as possible

Fantastic 7 Acre Wood getaway in Grand Lake, CO

  • 5 of 5

Maureen and Jeff were very polite and accommodating in hosting us at their cabin situated on a very private piece of land that offers stunning views of Shadow Mountain Lake and the Rocky Mountains that surround it. In addition to the views and tranquility of the property you will additionally find a hot tub, outdoor fire place as well as a shuffleboard table and ping pong table which all help to make the stay that much more enjoyable. The cabin is very spacious and clean with comfortable beds and TV's in all bedrooms. We were also greeted on numerous occasions by the moose, elk, deer & hummingbirds that make their home in the general area surrounding the property. Additionally, there on numerous hikes that are situated in and around the area of Grand Lake that offer some amazing views and scenery within Rocky Mountain National Park. I would definitely consider using 7 Acre Wood again on another trip to the Grand Lake area.

7 Acres of fun & relaxation!

  • 5 of 5

7 Acre Woods was perfect for our girls getaway! It even exceeded our expectations, (which isn't easy to do). We loved the location, the privacy, the 7 beautiful acres, the views, the amenities, the long sledding driveway, the house, the hot tub, & even the furnishings! Maureen was very responsive & helpful. I definitely plan to return! Thanks a bunch!

Breathtaking!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful vacation home! There were just three of us in this big, beautiful home and thus, we had plenty of room. The home is well stocked with games, videos, and premium cooking utensils. The best part of the home is the balcony. WHAT.A.VIEW! We experienced every weather pattern you could imagine and we still refused to come inside. We were amazed at the wildlife surrounding the home. We saw moose, foxes, myriad of birds and plenty of deer. Thank you Maureen and Jeff! We hope to visit your home in the upcoming summer months. Warmly, Erica & Court

Heaven on Earth

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at 7Acre Wood from February 10th thru the 15th. From the moment my husband and I arrived we were absolutely awestruck. This cabin and the views of the surrounding landscape and lake are straight out of a magazine. I have never seen so much white snow in my entire life. The first morning a red fox came up to the cabin and then scurried away. Later that afternoon, we looked out the windows and saw, AT LEAST, 10 elk. It was AMAZING! The hubby and I spent the days sledding down the driveway and snowmobiling the trails in Grand Lake ( a mere 3-5 minute drive). We also walked, I SAID WALKED, on Grand Lake, which was pretty cool for a couple Floridians. We spent the nights in the jacuzzi under the stars and cuddled up by the fire. As two extremely busy people, this place slowed us down just way we needed. We truly didn't want to leave. Now, let's get serious. When Maureen says you need a 4wd vehicle, she's not kidding. You need 4wd or you will walk 900ft up a mountain.....in the dark....with your luggage. We made that walk many times and we enjoyed it, but for real get 4wd. We cannot wait to come back, with a 4x4, for another trip. Maureen and Jeff, your home is breathtaking and we are so thankful we were allowed to enjoy it. Till the next time!

Much Love from Florida

We will be back!

  • 5 of 5

I can't begin to explain what a wonderful time we had on our long weekend in Grand Lake. The town is awesome...great shops and restaurants. We went on a 4-hour snowmobile trip through the woods and I will never forget the beautiful scenery. Went tubing down a hill in Granby and that was also tons of fun! This house is just perfect! It has every single thing you could possibly think of, plus more. The owners are great, very quick at replying back with answers to questions. The pictures do not do the house justice. It's just beautiful! I especially liked how well stocked the kitchen was. I do lots of cooking, so I really appreciated that I had everything I needed to make some great meals. We saw a bunch of elk on the property. Tried to book a week in June to take my family (this trip was with my boyfriend), but someone booked it a minute before I did. My advice? Don't wait! Book this house, you will not regret it!
