We recently spent almost a week at this beautiful, spacious, well-appointed house, and felt completely at home. It was so welcoming! We had everything we needed upon arrival, and the views were stunning. Our sons spent hours playing on the small beach, and I relaxed on the deck of the boat house. There was a grocery nearby, and a few small restaurants. We loved the quiet, tranquility of this property. Internet connection was great. Would love to visit again!

Beautiful Property
This is an absolutely beautiful property. From the moment we walked into the back yard and saw the view of the mountains and Lake Champlain we knew we had picked the perfect place to relax and visit with family. We brought our 99 year-old Mom to celebrated her birthday and visit with family in nearby Burlington and Middlebury where she was born. We also brought along our daughter, her husband and their two children ages 2 and 5. Luckily the “Easter Bunny” brought princess gowns for the girls to wear in this beautiful castle. They put on shows for us each night in front of the gorgeous fireplace in the “conservatory” with accompanying music from the grand piano. They enjoyed their stay at the castle and the 5-year-old created a business plan to purchase the property in the future. The beds were comfy and the views from each bedroom were very rewarding. The master bedroom includes a balcony. The kitchen is a bit outdated but we managed some wonderful meals and used the gas grill on the patio. Plenty of supplies and food items in the kitchen so really no need to bring anything. The recycling of the compost was a bit confusing but we hope we managed it correctly. The basement is fully finished and includes a sofa bed and a bar. The five year olds favorite room was the Sunroom in the “tower”. She spent many hours there at the desk drawing and reading. Such a fun home with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and find privacy or to come together to enjoy meals, music, views and to just totally relax. Be aware this house was not good for a 99 year-old or anyone who uses a walker or certainly not a wheelchair. There are steps everywhere and the bathrooms are small and not handicapped accessible. The bedrooms are up 14 steps. Thankfully, our Mom is a trooper and managed pretty well although it was not easy for her. The boathouse was the favorite spot. While the children played in the freezing water some of us enjoyed the view from the balcony of the boathouse. In the evenings we sat inside the boat house on the sofa. This is where we spent most of our time. Of course Mom could not because of the stone steps. The stone work inside and outside the boat house and castle is magnificent! Inside the house the children had so much fun finding gems inside the stone work. The property was well landscaped and perfectly manicured. The property was private even with neighbors nearby. The most relaxing vacation I have ever had!
