Walkout your door and you are steps from the water. We've decorated in a beachy theme. All the comforts of home with a full kitchen and dining for two by the beach side window. This is the secluded side of the house with an entrance all your own.

Just like home but with a beach

Is the place on the beach yes. Are the owners responsive yes! We met one of the owners (wife) and I chatted with her husband via texts. Both were very friendly. Do the rooms need updated sure. However, we loved that it was not a huge mega condo complex and the beach access was unprecedented. It was just what we needed the two of us. We plan to make a return visit one day. Thank you for keeping the place with an old world vibe.

Old farmhouse on the beach

Charming old property right on the beach. Needs a lot of TLC. We had several days of hot water tank problems. Hence our level of disatisfaction.

I grew up here as a teenager living with my mom, brother , sister and 2 grandparents when our dad , a fighter pilot went off to fight in Viet Nam. Being a military dependent we moved every 4 years. Where I went to high school and college feels like home. It was too nice a place to sell. M wife Kathy and I bought the Sun n Fun from my grandparents so they could retire after 30 years of hosting thousand of beach lovers. We want to continue the family tradition. Although we run it from my home in Denver 1500 miles away, Melissa and her sisters are great housekeepers wining the prestigious white glove awarded by Superior Small Lodging. And of course a 100 year old property has to have a good handyman. We get many offers from developers to sell, tear it down and built 5 luxury condominiums. They know this "GULF TO BAY" location is the most coveted spot on the 12 mile long island. Our guests enjoy an award winning white sand beach far from the crowds. And across the street in the intracoastal waterway, are magnificent yachts parading by on their way between Clearwater and St Pete. .

Come stay with us so we can continue to keep this special place in our family for the next 50 years.

Why they chose this property

Indian Rocks Beach is a traditional seaside community dating back the 1920's ...that keep the best. Great seafood, Small town charm. Convenient and close to the attractions yet far from the crowds. We offer the natural Florida. A seabird sanctuary where the the gulls and sandpipers outnumber the tourists. And loggerhead turtles come up at night and nest in the dunes and lay their eggs among the sea oats.

What makes this property unique

location Location location. My grandparents blessed us when they pretties spot on this barrier island between Clearwater and St Pete. . Old Timers call this "The Narrows". where the island is only wide enough for a single row of homes. The emerald waters of the Gulf and the calm tranquil Boca Ciega Bay across the street uniquely surround us on both sides for a true island setting. Guests remark that when they arrive they know this is what they have been looking for. A place to relax and decompress. A quiet sanctuary far from the resorts. "This has become our home away from home. We'll be back" is written all over our reviews. That brings a smile to my face. To share what we had growing up here, the beach the way it used to be. Natural and carefree.
