I bought property in Asheville, because the mountains are beautiful and relaxing. It has quite a variety of great restaurants for a small city, lots of golf courses and a lot of adventure for my teenagers.
It was perfect for us and our pup. The fenced yard was great, we loved the hot tub, the lights around the outside of the house were helpful at night and the bedrooms were great! We weren’t sure which room was better – you hear the stream in one but have the Jacuzzi tub in the other. Thank you so much!
The description was somewhat misleading if you intended to hike their 73 acres, which consisted of multiple homes spread throughout the woods.. There was a nice meadow beside that allowed more open play for kids however. A large flock of turkeys came by for a visit one morning.
The property manager was close by and came to check on the hot tub the day before we left, insuring us that he cleaned and serviced it twice weekly, which was good to know because that was one of the highlights. We used the gas fire table to roast marshmallows and that added to the kids' entertainment.
The property was much closer to everything than I really expected but in a nice area that seemed remote while not really being so. The layout was easy, except for the one sleeping on the queen sofa bed, which was great, by the way, because it was air blown and so was not your typical folded couch mattress. The living area was centrally located so there was a lot of traffic until the last person was in bed.
Both king beds were very comfortable. The bunk room was good for kids, not so great for more than one adult as there was nowhere to put up suitcase or clothes.. There was a nice television in there, but no room for anything else.
Both bathrooms were exceptional and kitchen layout was roomy and inviting. Shopping was close by. Don't be afraid to book this place. Thanks so much for the great getaway for family..
We were looking for something not too far for a quick getaway and decided on Asheville - we stumbled upon this property on HomeAway and we are so happy we did. We arrived right at dusk and the house was so well lit and inviting upon arrival. This house has everything you need - it was so relaxing (especially with the creek running alongside the home) that it was hard to pull ourselves to go to town for activities. Our dogs enjoyed the trails and space adjacent to the house to run and explore. We will definitely be back!
We just got back from our stay at Creekside Cottage and had a wonderful time with our family. Our grandchildren ages 2, 9 and 11 had never been to the mountains so we wanted to take them to the Biltmore Estate but also stay somewhere that captured the mountain feel. The Cottage certainly delivered it! They loved the bunkhouse room and the adults certainly enjoyed the sleep number beds and the hot tub after walking all day!. The fire table was great to enjoy an adult beverage and be outside. With WIFI and HD tv's in every room we still had all the conveniences but with a rustic feel. We could not have asked for a more perfect stay and will certainly plan on staying there again. Kelly Hockaday
My friends and I rented this cabin for a girls weekend and it was perfect! For a great price you get everything you could possibly need for a weekend away. It very comfortably & surprisingly accommodated 9 people. Instructions were clear and made the rental process a breeze. The location is perfect if you want to cheaper place near Asheville. It's about a 15 minute drive to downtown!
Wishing we could have spent more time there & explored the property.
Looking forward to renting this again for my next trip to Asheville!
Such a well-maintained property. Beautiful cabin with great outdoor space and tranquil surroundings. We can't wait to go back!!
I loved this house for our weekend getaway to Asheville. It was clean and roomy. The hot tub and firepit were definitely an added bonus! I would definitely recommend this location.
