Comfort, convenient and colorful!

  • 5 of 5

Most impressive aside from the comfort of this flat, was the consistent and rapid response to my inquiries or questions of the owner. Usually, within the hour I would hear back from Jack, which promotes a sense of security when traveling in a new city. We found everything we needed including nice neighbors (when I locked myself out at one point), close transportation to major city sites and a great market within walking distance. The only small items missing were a colander for draining the pasta and maybe a standing towel rack for use after showers, which might be placed in the small room/closet with the desk. The kitchen is very well appointed and has the latest model appliances. The beds and linens were lovely and the instructions for use of everything, very clear.

Thank you,

Cheryl

Clean, Comfortable, and Relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

My family thoroughly enjoyed staying in this place! The location is a 5-10 minute walk from the main area of Castro District, where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. Nearby that area is a MUNI underground subway station, which is also a 5-10 minute walk. The location is extremely convenient and easily accesses the rest of the city. The apartment itself is on a quiet street, not disturbed by any street noise. The photos of the apartment's interior are completely accurate, and the room is even more impressive in person. It is extremely clean and tidy, and the bed is large and comfortable. Despite the large size of the bed, there is still plenty of room to walk around in the apartment. The shower is incredibly relaxing and the bathroom is very clean. The kitchen area is stocked very well with utensils and cookware. Despite being located on the third floor, it is a very easy walk up the spacious stairs. I would happily book this place again for my family to stay at.

Beautifully decorated; Great location

  • 4 of 5

The Jewelbox is very tastefully decorated and comfortable. The pictures capture it well and the addition of a sofa in front of the windows is a great option for sitting or reading other than the bed. Location is perfect---not too hilly and close enough to walk to restaurants and shopping but far enough to be quiet. The storm windows make for great noise insulation but not so great for fresh air to cool the room off at night. It cools off very nicely by morning but pretty stuffy and warm coming in after a day of sightseeing. Jack was very responsive to questions and easy to work with.

Owner's Response: Thank you for that information. Since we're on the 3rd floor, I often leave the front windows slightly open for ventilation even when I'm not there.

Central Location!...Great Accomodations!!!...Fabulous Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in the Castro District was a wonderful experience!!....Our accommodations were perfect and Jack's place has everything you need for your stay!

We didn't have a car and used Lyft for everything which was such a convenience and ended up being a savings as Lyft offers financial incentives to get you signed up ($50 off the first 10 rides). We found Café Mystique at 464 Castro St which prepared excellent breakfast choices...so we visited them 3 times as they were just a short walk away. Mollie Stone's Grocery is also a short walk if you need to stock up on snacks, wine, cheese, etc. Communication with Jack was great and we had no problems with anything in the unit. Bathroom and kitchen facilities were practically brand new. Washer/Dryer was a great help!

When we come back to visit San Francisco again, we will make sure that this unit is of prime consideration.

Holiday in San Francisco's Castro District

  • 5 of 5

My wife and myself stayed at this location at the beginning of May. Everything was great, and the location couldn't have been better. Everything was just as nice as the pictures look. The owner was very prompt in getting back to us and answering any questions that we had. It's only a few blocks to the metro station, and from there we could easily get anywhere in the city. If we didn't feel like going far there were plenty of places quite close...restaurants, groceries, nice places to grab a drink...plenty to see and do. And I can't say enough about just how comfortable the bed was. It was nice to spend a day out walking around and exploring knowing that we were coming back to such a comfortable place. We'd stay here again without hesitation.

Great Location, Great Amenities

  • 5 of 5

The studio apartment was super nice and the pictures on the site do it justice. We were pleasantly surprised at how fabulous the shower was. It is conveniently located with many good bars, restaurants and grocery shopping all within walking distance as well as the public transportation. We did have a car for excursions outside the city and the onsite parking (which was extra but well worth it) was an added plus over other properties we looked at.

It's a great place with lots to do near it and nearby public transportation to see other parts of the city. It was always nice to come back to a comfortable bed and relax watching the free Netflix after a long day. I would highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here again on future trips.
