About Charlotte Lark

We were invited to Big Bear to stay at a friend's cabin and liked it so much, we bought a cabin near them. We think it is one of the nicest areas on the mountain.

Charlotte Lark purchased this cabin in 2003

Why Charlotte Lark chose Big Bear

We spent our honeymoon in Big Bear over 25 years ago, and dreamed of purchasing a lodge then. This house was a dream come true! It's not fancy, but very functional and comfortable, with lots of homey personal touches. Come relax, and have a good time. Make yourself at home!

What makes this cabin unique

Extra private, with a vacant lot on both sides, backing to the forest. Many mature pines bring shade and wildlife.

We love to walk in the forest, along the stream, and look for Mr Beaver, climb on the big rocks in the forest, go boating, or rent kayaks and pedal boats at the nearby Pleasure Point Marina. Fishing charters are a treat! We come up for shows at the Performing Arts Center, just steps away.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The cabin is homey, cozy, spacious and secluded, exactly what we wanted. Our family enjoyed our stay. In fact, we wish we had more time. It was a nice home away from home. We can't wait for another vacation here, which we will do very soon. Thank you for everything, and for your patience. It was a great first time in Big Bear.

Amazing Adventure!!

The house is perfectly equipped for a family with kids. The 'kids room' has everything from bunks and trundles to accommodate 4 kids, to dvds, toys and dress up clothes to keep the kids busy. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to make meals for a large family. The house literally has everything you need to be 'home' when away from home.

We went up on a weekend with CRAZY amounts of snow for Big Bear. The night we arrived my car got stuck in the snow (while it was dark, cold and snowing....a lot). The amazing neighbors came out and helped get the car moved to safety. When the snow continued and we ended up there for two extra nights because of the snow conditions, Charlotte was so helpful, caring and accommodating.

Charlotte, thank you so much for everything💗𵰽𵲗

Big Bear Getaway - Close to everything, but quiet and peaceful!

We were looking for a local getaway for a few days to relax and enjoy the peace and fresh mountain air. We found exactly that at the Lark's cabin in Big Bear. The cabin is only less than a minute from the main road, Big Bear Blvd, and yet you don't heat traffic or noisy neighbors. Very quiet and peaceful. You can relax inside and hear the mountain air rushing through the trees outside.

The cabin was clean and comfortable, and has all the amenities you could ask for. With three bedrooms, a large kitchen and dining area, family and TV rooms, and two full bathrooms, these was plenty of space to relax in. Being close to all the attractions was nice, and being able to relax in the evenings was also great. Wireless internet (WiFi) was also available, so you could be as connected as you want to be.

Charlotte was a pleasure to work with. We enjoyed the stay, and look forward to future rentals.

Great cabin, great owner

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a great summer vacation in Big Bear staying here. The cabin was perfect, exactly what we were looking for. So close to the lake and hiking trails. It was super clean and well kept. There were toys there our 3 year old loved. Charlotte was very easy to rent from. Quick and thorough communication and she really accommodated our needs and questions well.
