Overall, the home is nice, but could use a little TLC & the housekeeping team might need some pointers.
When we arrived at about 10:30 pm, the front door was not only unlocked, but standing open (the storm door was closed). The patio doors and many windows were also unlocked. When we mentioned it, we were told housekeeping had recently left and must have left everything open. Kind of odd to walk up to an unknown home at 10:30 at night, standing wide open, even in a safe neighborhood.
Property pros:
Beds were comfortable
Plenty of space
Kitchen equipped with pots, pans, dishes & utensils (no staples such as cooking spray, salt & pepper - certainly not expected but many VRBO homes have a few basics).
Convenient to N. Dallas freeways & grocery stores
Clean
Cons:
Several light bulbs were burned out throughout the home, including in the bathrooms, dining, hallway & bedrooms. We had to move some bulbs from other rooms to have at least one bulb burning in a few rooms.
Almost no extra toilet paper.
Some of the furniture & cabinets are a little worn out.
Communication was a little inconsistent. We didn't receive check-in instructions until a few hours before arrival. We initially couldn't find the garage door remote as it was hidden in a drawer in the foyer.
We mentioned the burned-out bulbs & lack of TP and were told someone would bring supplies, but they never did.
We never received checkout instructions or any follow-up after our final message saying we had left.
