Great Wine Country Property!

  • 5 of 5

My immediate and a bit of extended family enjoyed a great visit. House is as well stocked as any rental home/condo we have stayed in. The setting is perfect. The house sits up and overlooks Dry Creek to the north with nothing but views of the vineyards. While you feel very remote in the best of ways you are only 15 minutes from Healdsburg. We cannot say enough nice things about Sally and her property. Will be back again.

Comfortable, well-appointed, and in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Dry Creek Farm for a girls' family getaway over the Memorial Day holiday. Prior to our visit, we had all kind of activities planned (winery visits, shopping in Healdsburg...). However, once we got there and really started to relax, we didn't want to go anywhere by car. We hung out by the pool, had long conversations over wine, read books, played games, cooked together, and took long walks along the vineyards. The views are breathtaking. The home itself is large and open, but cozy at the same time. We never felt on top of each other. The beds and linens were very comfortable. It was just what we all needed but didn't realize it until the moment we arrived. We want to go again - and soon!

Absolutely perfect property in a beautiful area.

  • 5 of 5

We loved the property, facilities, position and the beautiful views. This feels more like a home from home than a holiday let. Sally (owner) was friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive. Lots of vineyards nearby for wine tasting and Healdsburg (about 10 minutes by car) is a lovely small town with plenty of good quality shops and restaurants- we really liked Barndiva. I would love to stay here again!

The perfect choice

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Sally's beautiful Healdsburg home to celebrate our one year anniversary. Neither of us had ever been to Healdsburg, so didn't have any set expectations. Now we always will - Sally's incredibly beautiful home has become Healdsburg to us.

The home was perfect - the couches leather and comfortable, a separate tv room (I'm going to completely copy for our house) so the living room can be used for entertaining, and a kitchen that if the pool itself wasn't so incredible would be the center point of your time there.

The house sits upon a hill so you enjoy not just morning sunrises, but miles and miles of the striking Healdsburg countryside. It's easy walking distance to several Dry Creek vineyards (definitely try the Zinfandel at Lambert Bridge Winery and the Italian varietals at Unti Vineyards) and also very close to downtown Healdsburg for dinners, etc.

Highly recommended - and Sally, we ordered those great Mason jar solar lights and they just arrived in the mail. We'll always think of your great spot when we enjoy them in our backyard.

Heaven on Earth

Looking for a country getaway combining luxury, beauty, practicality, and comfort? Look no further than this superbly appointed estate nestled in the wine country 15 minutes from Healdsburg. You will escape the crowds in Napa, especially as you lounge around the superb pool and hot tub commanding vineyard and mountain views the townsfolk can only dream about. This is a LARGE home, with three commodious bedrooms upstairs that each have both king or queen beds plus twins, and an upstairs sitting area and sunset porch. The living room downstairs features floor to ceiling windows and doors for appreciating the priceless views. We cooked frequently in the well-stocked kitchen and on the outdoor grill, though the food had a lot of competition when we set the table outdoors under the long patio gazebo with its limitless views. Forget your budget and come here. They had to drag me away. Oh, and dozens of wineries are a short drive away if you can stand to leave the place for an hour or two.

From the Owner

This is a special place, nestled in a side canyon of the Dry Creek Valley. Grape creek, a seasonal stream that provides habitat for steelhead as well as many other aquatic creates and birds, runs through the benchland portion of the property. The house is nestled into the side of the hill where the oak woodland begins to transition to redwood, madrone, and douglas fir forest.

Dry Creek Valley is a wonderful starting point for world-class bicycle tours at all levels. A six mile ride from home will take you on scenic West Dry Creek Road to Preston Farm and Vineyards for freshly baked bread, fermented treats of all kinds, fresh organic fruits and vegetables and lovely wine in a quirky, rustic and beautiful garden setting. A more strenuous ride can be had by heading up to Lake Sonoma and continuing a climb up into the Rockpile AVA, or through Alexander Valley (gorgeous) over to climb Pine Flat up into the Geysers. We love to share our road (and our home) with cyclists...and dogs, too.

From the Owner

Great environment for walking, both on trails within fenced property (dogs can run safely off-leash!) and also in the immediate neighborhood. Four very nice wineries (Michel Schlumberger, Mounts, Quivira, and A. Raffanelli) are within easy walking distance (but do call ahead to confirm hours and also to make an apointment if needed). A nice longer walk (just under two miles) gets you to the Dry Creek General Store (and the adjacent awesome local bar where EVERYONE is welcome!) where you can pick up snacks, picnic food/sandwiches, cold and hot beverages. Open for morning coffee at 6:30am! If you bring or rent bicycles, the options are awesome, too. Take a spin up to Lake Sonoma and there is a nice climb up into the Rockpile AVA. Another great trip is over Canyon Road into Geyserville for lunch at Diavola. The cycling options are truly as diverse as your dining options in Healdsburg! I am happy to make recommendations about local restaurants and day trips as well. When you are here, you will feel like you are truly Out in the Country but you can be on the freeway in six minutes from my front gate and you can get to the Healdsburg Plaza (the beautiful tree-encircled town all summer on Tuesday nights) in twelve minutes. I love living in Healdsburg, and I know you will love it too!
